I know teas are good to drink and you should avoid coffee and sodas. What about lemonade and what about powdered drink mixes link KoolAid and Wylers? (Sorry if I forgot a copyright symbol) The kind where you mix sugar and the powder to make orange, grape, cherry, etc. -- are those ok for IBS? Thanks.

On the Kool Aid: web page

Homemade lemonade should be okay if the acid doesn't bother you. I think there is even a recipe in EFI for lemonade.

Wyler's often uses artifical sweetners, which are a HUGE IBS triggers.

Best of Luck! Hope you feel better soon.

BTW, your son is a cutie!

I've tried that lemonade recipe a few times. The drink is little bit thick, but I like the taste. I wonder if you could freeze it and make a frozen treat thing out of it (like the lemon or cherry ones at Dairy Queen; also Schwann's has one called a freeze cup). I also wonder if you could make one of those drinks with the strawberries, bananas, soy milk and honey and then freeze it the same way? Might be an interesting experiment. The smoothie was one of the first things I tried from EFI. It's still one of my favorites. Don't try it with blueberries, though. Happy Thanksgiving.
