I was wondering where people are getting the ingrediants for the recipes? Like soy sour cream, tofutti cream, etc. I checked my Foods Co-op store and they didn't have much to offer.
I live in Sacramento, California
Thanks, Karen

I can't get any of those where I am (northern Maine). It's entirely possible that you won't be able to find some of the specialty ingredients like that, and you'll just have to do without - not make the recipes that call for them. None of that fancy-shmancy stuff is required to follow the diet, anyway.

Try your local health food store - ask and they may be able to order them in for you. Debbie, Ontario, Canada

I know... I'm just saying that you really might not be able to find them in your area. I sure can't.
The 2 places I have for finding things like that are the health food store, and the vegetarian section of our grocery store... it's part of the produce department, and that's where they keep all the soy cheeses and tofu and such. I never expected to find ANY of that in the supermarket, so if you haven't given a good, hard look around yours, give it a try. It might be right next to the tofu.
And like Debbie said, sometimes health food stores will order something for you if they don't carry it. Personally, ours won't do that, but maybe yours will be more accomodating!

I buy those things in any grocery store in the natural foods department. All supermarkets in my area have them and I live just outside the suburbs. I would think you would have them too.
