I mixed about one teaspoon of rootbeer extract with about one Cup of soy vanilla ice cream and ended up with very tasty rootbeer ice cream. Yum.

where do you get rootbeer extract?? i've thought of getting rootbeer from whole foods (ibs safe) and adding soy icecream, but doenst sound that good,....your way sounds wayyyyyyyy better, where do you get the extract though???

in the spice aisle, usually near the other flavorings (vanilla extract, lemon, peppermint, etc.). McCormick's makes a root beer extract -- I have some in my cupboard right now.

That rootbeer drink sounds delicious! But where do you get soy ice cream?? That may sound weird but my grocery store only sells soy milk, not ice cream.

Health food stores almost always carry it. I find it at Safeway, Trader Joe's, New Seasons. I think you can get it at Whole Foods, too.
