and it worked great. I have one of the earlier versions, just the very small one with no adjustable heat levels and no removeable plates. It's SUCH a pain to clean -- I always feel like no matter how much I wipe it out, it's not sanitary. So, I used one long piece of foil and covered it top to bottom, and funnelled it into the fat catcher tray thingie. I made turkey burgers. I think it might have taken a little while longer to cook, but it worked great and there was no mess. Also, I sprayed the foil with Pam. Just thought I'd share!

That's a great idea! I hate cleaning that thing too and feel like I never get it really clean either. Thanks for passing along the tip!

We have one too, same model and I adore it. I always use cooking spray on it and haven't had too many problems with things sticking. That said, it is never quite 'clean'.

If I didn't, I'd never use it because I hate cleaning the darn thing.

Okay, playing devil's advocate....

Sorry, but I HATE my George Foreman grill. It sits on the top shelf of my laundry room, collecting dust, where it belongs!

Not only is it IMPOSSIBLE to clean, but it's huge, cumbersome, and frankly, food doesn't taste NEARLY as good grilled on it as it does on my charcoal Weber. While the charcoal is a bit of a nuisance, especially in the incessant rains we have up here, there's no comparison in taste. If I can't have my food charcoal-grilled, I'll go without.

Anyone want my GF grill?

I have one of the small George Foreman's. Also, when I got it, I did not have the option of grilling out (still don't).

However, in the next house, we will grill outside. Oh yes, we will!

I have the one with the removable plates and I love it. I do feel as if it gets cleaner that the others I have had in the past and it's great when the kids want hamburgers.
