Did you ever figure out the calorie count for a serving of this? (I'm betting you did, but I don't see it here in the comments, unless I missed it!)

The whole recipe is approx 1163 calories, so divide that by how many servings YOU get out of the loaf.

Has there been any updates or changes to this recipe since first posted? I thought I'd ask before I started cooking.

Not that I know of. I do know that people change the recipe a little to suit their own tastes - for example, I skip the margarine (use cooking spray instead) to lower the fat more, and I also use less ketchup *in* the meatloaf mix. But those are just my personal preferences.

It's a mighty good recipe - enjoy!

Below is the way I make it NOW!

***************************************************

TURKEY MEATLOAF

2 tablespoons butter or margarine (or sub) Butter Flavored Pam instead of butter
1 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1-1/2 lbs Lean Ground Turkey or Turkey Breast
1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
1 egg 1/4 c eggbeater
3/4 cup catsup (1/4 for loaf, 1/2 for top of loaf) 1/2 cup total, 1/4 for the loaf and 1/4 for the top
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter (spray pam) in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer mixture to a large bowl; cool 5 minutes.

Add turkey, bread crumbs, egg, 1/4 cup catsup, Worcestershire, salt and pepper to onion mixture; mix well. Pack into an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan. Spread remaining 1/2 (1/4) cup catsup over top. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until no longer pink in center and internal temperature of loaf reaches 165 degrees. Let stand at room temperature 5 minutes before slicing. Makes 5 servings

I heard Fench is safe, but they don't sell that here. All I can find is sauce with HFCS.

I wouldn't worry about it. There are only 2tsps in the entire recipe (however, I wouldn't omit it bc it gives great flavor), and it makes five servings. I would assume that each person would only be eating a teeny tiny amount, which is small enough that it wouldn't completely bother you. So, unless you are ultra ultra sensitive, I wouldn't even worry about it at all.

I make this all the time and I don't use the worcestershire sauce at all, i don't own any
Sometimes I don't even use fresh onion, I just mix onion flakes with the margarine
It still tastes great to me and my bf loves it as well
