30 Minute Chili

1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
2 large cans of tomatoes (I use crushed)
3 large cans chili beans
1 onion chopped
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 tsp. Cumin
2 tsp. Chili powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 Cup Ketchup

Brown turkey with onion. Place beans and tomatoes with juice in a large pot. Add turkey mixture and remaining ingredients. Simmer for 20 minutes or until well heated!!!

This is really easy and so yummy! I make a half a batch. And that's a lot!! It lasts me a few day's and that's for 2 adult and 2 kids. The full batch will feed a lot!!

Enjoy!

Steph

Steph:

Question on the can size for the beans & tomatoes....when you say large... do you mean like a campbell soup can or larger?

Is there really such thing as "chili beans" or is it kidney or something like that?

I'm guessing the size of the can is probably around 27 oz...that's much larger than a regular can of soup! Also, yes, there are chili beans...Bush's makes my favorite and you can get them in hot or mild, depending on your tastes!!
(Steph, I hope you don't mind me answering Shell's question. Since I knew the answer at least to the one. )

Hi there,

Yep there is a chili bean. I use the hunts brand chili bean and tomatoes. I think I said crushed tomatoes...but I have been using diced now and really like that.

And I just checked my cans the beans are 30oz and the tomatoes are 28oz. I don't drain them either. I just dump everything in.

If you couldn't find chili beans then you could use any kind you like. Check out this site.....then you know what brand to look for at the store! web page
