Hi all,
I tried making the Brown Sugar Banana Bread. First off -- it looked like it was on steroids, and it was hard as a rock. I used all of the ingredients -- it wasn't even flavorful. What did I do wrong? ARG!

Well I'm thinking maybe one or more of your ingredients were old or past there experation date. I've made it twice and it turned out good.. just check all your ingredients and see if they might be old. Also were your banana's black? That helps to give it a nice flavor. Check to make sure your stove is not too hot. Sometimes your oven is hotter than you set it!!

I agree--check your baking powder. I may be obsessive, but I buy a teeny tiny tin, write the date on the lid in permanent marker, and toss it in six months. No more flat baked goods for me!

leslie also dont make banna bread with green bannas. they will get you sick. jasper. some people do make bread like that. good luck on your bakeing.
