Heather's Smoky Eggplant Hummus in EFI is excellent, too, but more work. For something really unusual, you could try the White Bean and Almond Dip from EFI - I love that stuff. You can also check out this recent thread for some more ideas. I saw it too late to chime in, but a recent show on the Food Network had some suggestions for spiffing up store-bought hummus. Try adding lemon zest or fresh cilantro or chopped olives or roasted garlic or chopped parsley and red pepper flakes to it. I also love guacamole - Heather's in EFI is fabulous - and you can check out this post for something much easier (I haven't tried this yet, I just found green Tabasco). HTH. Then if you you want it creamier just add more liquid from the chickpeas. I also like a small amount of cumin in mine (like 1/2 - 1 tsp).
