How about fatfree wasabi mayo? Know me, I'd just eat them with a "green sauce/gravy/popeye pesto."

Thanks, that's awesome. Oyster mushrooms are actually my favourite.

I suppose, you could bake these on a cookie sheet in the oven. Perhaps around 375 or 400 degrees for about 40 min.? What do you think?

Kate.

I add them to a lot of things.. I also make a mushroom stuffing.. I have made mushroom stuffed mushrooms.. I also do mushroom stews and sauces, etc..

mom purees mushroom stems, bread, spices and some lemon juice then puts that inside the caps...

I actually make mushroom stuffing and stuff portobello mushrooms with it.. bread, mushrooms, broth (chicken or vegetable) and sometimes some other veggies and herbs.. ) simmer until there isn't any liquid running all over anymore and then bake on the mushrooms (or you can use it with chicken, etc.. )

I think this is a good reminder that tis almost thanksgiving and I think I'll make a batch of stuffing muffins for turkey day...

Do you have a basic mushroom stuffing recipe? Your mushroom stuffed mushrooms sound outrageous as well. I've never made mushrooms stuffing. I have stuffed mushrooms with mushrooms and just about everything else, though. I've used some HUGE ones as quasi-pizza crusts, even.

Thanks,
Kate.

Your "classic" mushie recipe is wonderful, by the way. I added a little lavender, rosemary, and sage to the thyme and it was "classic."

I intend to do it more often.
Thanks.

Kate.

I like the idea of the sauce. I would recommend sauteing them.
