Is there a TEST to see is my Cream Of Tartar is expired? I will do my weekly shopping Sat afternoon and will buy more if not.... I know I've had it for at least 2 years. It is Schilling/McCormick Brand

According to OChef, the shelf life of cream of tartar is one year. (That's pretty standard for most spices - they don't go bad, of course, they just lose their flavor and potency.)

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
