Hi everybody - Recipe Goddess here...(sadly, my husband just thinks I'm a Domestic Goddess and an Office Goddess). Oh, well!

Next week I'll be posting some crockpot recipes and some revised recipes from Southern Living 2002 Annual Recipes. Unfortunately, people who live in the Southern US use so much butter and fats when they cook almost anything, that I almost got sick reading some of the ingredients. Imagine, using a WHOLE CUP OF BUTTER in a batch of cookies or a HALF CUP WHEN FRYING ONIONS! Oh, my...no wonder Paul Prudhomme is the Large Economy Size! I've picked out recipes for which I can substitute ingredients and they still should come out pretty good. I haven't tried any of the Southern recipes but my friend, Rita from Baton Rouge, bought the book for me and I couldn't refuse to take it. I think I'm a cookbook junkie!!

If anyone has any specific requests for recipes, please post and I'll try to post the recipes early next week.
