Would putting a fatfree safe piece of meat in the food processor be like homemade ground meat--example: turkey breast? My TMJ/bad teeth make it impossible to effectively chew things completely enough and I've been having alot of self-educational food processor fun/play, today.
Lol! Being sous-chef to the pickiest eater I know--me--is challenging!
ONE HUGE NOTE OF RELIEF: NO 'SHROOMS will be shooting out of my butt at 4 a.m., tomorrow! I pureed/processed them (portabellas, vidalia onion, garlic plus herbs) prior to cooking. Rather interesting: it tasted like ground meat!!! It turned out rather like pate or meatloaf. Definite recipe potential.
Just curious, i.e. re: the meat.
Kate.

Hey, give it a try. I have some old Lebanese recipes that call for putting meat through a food processor several times, so it must work on some level. Cut it in chunks first - I'm thinking that'll make it process more evenly, although I might be totally full of 'it.

I'm curious to hear how it turns out too! Keep us posted.
If that fails, they do sell meat grinders (or they did 25 years ago). My mom used to have one. Big metal thing that attaches to the countertop, though they may be more plastic these days. I think they may also sell grinder attachments for Kitchenaid mixers if you happen to have one of those.
