Hi , i was wondering if anyone would care to share some of the substitues they use.. I like a lot of Italian food but tomato sauce is a prob for me.. any suggestions?
Also CHEESE.. do yall just use a soy cheese for a substitute?
One more question.. As far as cooking oil for sauteing and coating your pans.. what do you guys use?
Thanks!

If you do a search you'll find a pasta sauce recipe using beets instead of tomatoes. I prefer almond cheese to soy cheese substitutes, but there are some good soy subs (like Galaxy shredded soy cheese--I don't recall the exact name). If you're sensitive to all forms of dairy, please know that a lot of these cheese subs contain casein, a milk protein.
I was just reading your profile and it almost reads exactly like mine (which isn't posted )! I'm not a librarian-- I am a library specialist (clerk plus some extra duties)--but I also suffer from GAD and panic, and I'm IBS-D. This diet has been a really helpful tool for managing my symptoms! I hope it's working for you.
Take care!

I don't use any cheeses- truly allergic to dairy and its just easiest to just avoid it....
as to sauces- we make a lot of mushroom based sauces.... with some chicken or vegetable broth....
