Another Tofu question

I've been making fresh fruit smoothies lately. I throw in a peach, half a banana, some ice, a spoon of honey, a spoon of Acacia, 3/4 cup of juice (apple or some other 'no sugar added' juice). I also add 3/4 cup soy milk, or tofu. My question is should I add the water from the tofu? Does it have any nutritional value? Or should it be discarded?

nope, no nutrition from tofu water, but i would use silken or soft tofu (as opposed to firm or extra firm) because it blends the best.
hth!!

I noticed that the firmer the tofu, the higher the fat content. Is that always the case?

I'm not sure what brand you buy, but i buy mori-nu lofat tofu. Some stores sell a brand called Low-Fu (generic low fat tofu) and it comes in different varities of firmness. check it out . They also have good tofu recpies on this site too. Enjoy!!!
