Other than guacamole, I'm not sure what to do with avacados.
I know you can slice them and put them on sandwiches, but the texture turns me off. Maybe I should mash them up and used it more like a spread?

What are some of your favorite things to do with them?

I like to eat them on a rice cake like a spread or on a corn thin the same way.

My spread:
Mashed avocado
Lemon juice or lime juice to taste
A tablespoon of olive oil, flaxseed oil, or lowfat mayo
a tablespoon onion powder

IF your tummy can handle this..enjoy!

I use the avocado as a "sauce" or "dressing" I either slice the avocado OR I mash it and mix it in with the rice and beans. I make brown rice (it is safe for me), mashed beans and add a bit of avacado on top. If you like tamari sauce or soy sauce, it goes well with this dish. Also, feel free to add spices or a squirt of lemon to this. Yummers!

...it adds a spicy hint to tuna mayo ones for example. Yum!

If you on't like the texture, I guess you wouldn't like them chopped up in a pasta salad?

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies! They sound great!

Chopped up in small pieces and mixed with pasta and other flavors, I don't think the texture would bug me. I think what gets me when it's in larger slices, my brain is expecting something firmer.
