Hi guys, I am making this right now and I have sort of a strange question.... Is it supposed to be turning GREEN??
I just looked in it 'cause right now it basically just smells like vinegar and when I looked, there were these bluey-green bits in it.... I'm scared!
I think I must have done something wrong or something...
Thanks! --Steph

That is scary!! I made that last week and there was no green or blue whatsoever! Mostly reddish brown. How much vinegar did you use?? What kind of soda did you use?

Hmm, well, by the time it was finished cooking there was no more odd colours, thank goodness. But it wasn't brown-y red either.. more watery black colour. I used 2/3 cup of vinegar - Adrian liked it, but I would definitely use a bit less next time. For soda, I used Sprite. Anyway, the chicken turned out really nice and even though the sauce was really thin (even after I added quite a bit of cornstarch) and quite strong, I would make it again. I served it over Ramen noodels, they were yummy. --Steph

Green?? Yikes, I definitely don't think mine ever turned that color. Although I don't think I ever peek too long before they're done, so maybe they're green while I'm not looking. Lol. Anyway, I'm glad they ended up turning out okay and non-green for you in the end.
