Gatorade? Yellow Rice?

I am newly diagnosed. Are we allowed to have gatorade? What about yellow rice?

I don't know about Gatorade, it might be to high in sugar for you to drink on an empty stomach.
If the yellow rice your refering to is called saffron rice you should be o.k., as saffron is a spice and is nuetral. I make chicken paella with safron rice, shrimp with red and green peppers.
It tastes yummy. However I use a small ammount of oil to saute the chicken and shrimp.

There have been past posts about Gatorade--do a search with no time limits and see what comes up. As for the yellow rice, do you mean the boxed kind? If so, what are the ingredients? Tell us what's in it and we'll tell you if it's safe.

sorry. i learned this the wrong way. gatorade has high fructose corn syrup in it which is really bad.

Let me tell you- I just had my first colonoscopy on Monday. For my prep they had me drink 255g Miralax and 4 Dulcolax with 64 oz. of Gatorade. Bad idea. My stomach was so upset the entire night because I kept drinking the Gatorade on an empty stomach! Luckily, what I had successfully kept down worked well enough and I was okay for the test. Everyone is different- I can have dairy, but not Gatorade apparently.  I think it is all a matter of trial and error.
