Hi Kandee,
You were asking if the best curry comes from blending the spices ourselves. Yes there are so many curries each with different spices and methods and these are either Indian, Goan or Pakistani that I have. These blends contain red chillies. I am under the impression that IBS people cannot take red chillies or at least my doctor has told me not to take red chillies, beef, spinach, cauliflower, cabbage, channa dhal(lentil), melons, mangoes and milk and its products. I could provide you with a number of recipes if you would like to make them for the other members of the family who are not IBS. Please let me know. Jenny.

Jenny? Do ALL those various kinds contain red chilies (powder)? The reason I asked about curry in the first place is because (and don't hate me for this) I've never really liked curry foods. Someone said that if I had them where the curry spices were blended up fresh, I would. I want so badly to like curry but don't know where to start. What, in your estimation is the best blend to start with, for people who don't really like curry (or think they don't)--and the best simple dish...Thanks, Kandee

Hi Kandee,
Just come back from the conference room where we Catholics were given permission to watch the Pope's funeral. It was a lovely funeral.
You are like my son who does not like curry and for him I had to make dry dishes which would take up so much of my time.
Yes, most of the dishes are made with red chillies or coconut or both. During the weekend I will search for recipes containing green chillies or something good for you.
Have a nice weekend. Jenny

personally coco leche- coconut mulk is something my tummy doesn't like anymore... but I can handle red chilis in moderation, so would love any non coconut milk recipes! Bill and I both adore curries from all over the world!

Hi Amie,
I remember that you wanted recipes of curry and I have managed to find those for you. Unfotunately, I cannot place them on the IBS recipe exchange because they are not meant for IBS folks like us. So if you would give me your email address or send me a message on estella882000@yahoo.com I will send them to you. You could try them out and make your collection. Jenny
