Besides the tofu recipe for whipped topping is there anything else? I haven't found anything and cool whip always tempts me so much.

that Redi Whip had a non-dairy variety, but I just looked on their website and it's not there. I know I remember buying it before, but it could have been a couple years ago. Take a look in the dairy section at the grocery store for other maybe generic brands of canned whipped topping and see if you can't find a non-dairy one.

What's wrong with Cool Whip, anyway? I'm just curious. I mean, I eat the stuff and it doesn't bother me... I buy a store-brand generic, and there's no dairy or HFCS in it, so I guess I'm just a little confused.

though I think it was casein which many of you may not have problems with. I don't have any to check right now though. I just remember thinking - yes it does have dairy in it and they shouldn't call it non-dairy.

Hi; I eat the ultra-low fat Cool Whip all the time and it doesn't bother me at all. I have also eaten a no name brand version before ( at friends) and it is OK but found it a bit oily. I just stick with cool whip brands. Take care Sue

but the HFCS. I haven't found a brand without it as my store brand has it. I can get away with a bite or two but not more than that. And I have been wanting to try to make a safe tiramisu.

I've never had a problem with the Cool Whip Light either. I guess it depends on your body, like so many things. Blah.

I might give it another try. I remember having trouble once but who knows?

I think she means Gordon's Food Service. It's a store where they sell bulk items of foods.
