garbonzo beans for salads

Must avoid nuts due to diverticulosis. I use sprouted garbonzo beans for crunch in salads. More nutritious than canned chick peas also. I buy g. beans at the health food store, place in jar with 3x amt. of water and cover with gauze. After 8 hrs, I drain, rinse, drain and refrigerate in jar with lid. Make enough for abt. 2 days, as there are no preservatives (another plus!)
