Question about Tofu?

I would like to make either the pumpkin spice pie, or the Better Than Cheesecake, but I bought the Mori Nu silken tofu - extra firm, will this be ok to use for these recipes? I have never used tofu before, and am a little leary about using it, but would like to be able in enjoy a dessert for Thanksgiving. Thanks for you help.
