Soy Coffee (Brands)-- what kind?

I bought "Sonsoy" brand "french vanilla" coffee yesterday at a local health food store. It'll do in a pinch (I really love coffee), but it's honestly not as good because it has a funny after taste. Is there another brand that someone has found to be tried & true? I'd even be willing to mail order some soy coffee to get some delicious brew.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

There is a brand that a few of us recommend, but they have cut and pasted from our threads and used our comments for free advertising, which I think is crap. If you email me at the address in my profile (delete "no spam") then I will be happy to tell you about the brand that several of us like, and where you can get it. I just don't want to do any more free advertising for them!

In addition to the aforementioned brand, Rocamojo is also excellent. I drink that often.

Teeccino

This stuff is incredible and they have lots of different flavors. My husband who has always been a coffee drinker (but doesn't even have IBS) switched over to it recently and loves it.

Besides, they generously contributed samples for our members of the Las Vegas Fall Sprawl last month, with wonderful sample packs, one Java another Vanilla Nut...both pkgs. made 6 cups each.

Check in your HFS or you can order on line.

I just called a local health food store. They're gonna order me some almond amaretto! I'm excited to try it.

My dh tried the Sunsoy soy coffee last night & said, "It stinks." (It literally has a weird smell)

Woohoo! I hope you like it as much as I do. I also love their Chocolate Mint.

Lol, your poor DH. Is Sunsoy one of those ones that is also made from chicory root, etc.? I tried one of those coffee subs and it definitely stunk!

I don't know-- I'll have to look at the package. The bad thing is that I've been drinking the stinky stuff anyway (with lots of vanilla soy milk in it) because I miss coffee.

haha

Aww! I totally understand. I was actually able to quit coffee cold turkey and go to herbal tea instead, but I must admit it was SO nice when I found Rocamojo and Teecino. Now it's just too bad we can't get them when we go out!

I ordered some to try on Monday. I was looking at the sight today to see how long shipping was and found a note about "instant" brewing under FAQ. I noticed that they recommend a type of brewer. Can this be brewed in a regular coffee maker??? Anne

I was looking at the website, too, and saw that you can brew this in a regular coffee maker. In fact, you can also brew it in an espresso maker or french press.

I'm hoping to pick my order up at the health food store tomorrow!

Yep... I make it in my coffee maker and use 1 Tbsp per 2 cups water! -nt- new
