Shell, this recipe gets two thumbs up from me! It smells heavenly cooking and tastes just as fantastic. Like Casey, I used a smaller, oval casserole dish. I also used only 2 sweet potatoes and 3 apples and reduced the rest of the ingredients to compensate. I definitely plan on making this again, and soon! It comes highly recommended.
You may notice that mine never really browned up. I think Casey's suggestion of spraying it with cooking spray after adding the breadcrumbs would remedy that. I plan to try it next time!

Isn't my new casserole dish so cute, too?? Lol. I just love buying new dishes, but I have to control myself. I'm going to run out of room eventually.

I was going to comment on the cute dish, LOL! Very nice. I have a dish addiction myself. Fortunately, most of what I buy is pre-1970, at yard sales it's very cheap. UNfortunately, I've totally run out of room - since moving here, I've filled the pantry and a big shelf unit we have in the dining room. That *might* keep me from buying more next summer, but I doubt it.
