Hi everyone! I tried this the other day, and thought some of you that don't know what to do with your Cream of Rice (H2 ) or that want a new variation might like to try it.
I followed the instructions on the box for 1 serving (1/4 cup cream of rice, 1 cup water), but used 1 cup vanilla soy milk instead of water. Then, I added a few peeled & chopped strawberries (I peel to get rid of the seeds, but I don't know that it really matters), then cooked it in the microwave, same as the box says. It was really good...great combo on the vanilla & stawberries. It was slightly sweet, but I like mine a little sweeter, so I added a bit of honey. Yummy!
Just thought I'd share.....

I like to make my Cream of Rice with water, in the microwave, but then I add finely chopped dried raisins and cherries. I usually throw the fruit in before I cook it so that it has a chance to soften up a bit. I then sweeten it with a bit of sugar or honey, and add some vanilla soy milk to make it creamy. YUM!
