Hi Sis,

Just wanted to wish you good luck with your big move to the FARM tomorrow. I know you must be excited, I know I am.

Remember, BIG Sis said not to over do it!!!

Don't be away from the computer for too long.....I will miss you.

Hey Sis,

Yeah, we're pretty excited. It's gonna take all day long -- hope I can last. But it's only half of the move. We still won't be able to stay there because all of our cooking stuff and toiletries, etc., are here in the condo. The condo doesn't get moved until Monday.

But yeah, the computer gets moved on Wednesday, so I'll be out of commission from Wednesday morning on (until I can figure out how to re-connect this puppy, and I ain't no computer type person). Oy.

Sis, you can e-mail me any time you want -- RowHard@comcast.net -- of course I still gotta get myself "up and running". Think I can do it? Mags is my computer teacher -- WHERE ARE YA, MAGS?

Hey, Sis, guess what? We're having another heat wave up here. It's 84 degrees right now -- YOWZA! -- but down at The Farm, the house was nice and cool inside, a good 15 degrees cooler, and we don't even have air conditioning! Even with this terrible heat wave, we obviously don't need it. Isn't that great? Oh, and as I was taking a break from the work, sitting on the front porch, rocking, looking out at the park (the front of the house faces a greenbelt park for wild animals), I was treated to a display of deer -- actually there were 3 bucks with HUGE antlers, munching away on the grass. What a sight! The puppy dog was going crazy; didn't know what to make of those huge dogs! In Maine, in the '40's, my daddy used to shoot them; isn't that awful? Why shoot something so beautiful?

Okay, I'm rambling. I hate it when I do that.

Hey, guess what else! My back is a lot better. I can take off my shoes and socks now! Baby steps.

Thanks for your post, Sis. You're the best.

I'll post again Wednesday morning if I can, before I disconnect the 'puter.

Bevvy

I grew up on a farm, my Dad raises Boer Goats (raised for their meat - I've never actually eaten it, but supposedly its an ethnic delicacy). And I attend an agricultural school where I'm majoring in animal sciences and minoring in poultry science. Gee how I miss the farm, going to school in a BIG town is tough for me although we do have the barns just off campus. This summer I've actually been living at the poultry farm, not in the same building with the chickens though .

I hope you enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm. Start a vegetable garden, its supposed to be a relaxing hobby as well as providing you with an endless supply of healthy, IBS-safe foods.

Bevs---

good luck with the rest of your move! I'm glad you back is better. But I had to laugh at the thought of a heatwave at 84 degrees. That's fall weather in the Carolinas!!!!!! Heck, I'd be tempted to get out one of my sweaters!

And seeing the deer .... how cool! It sounds like a lovely place to live. I'm jealous!

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to hearing from you after you get settled.

Glad the worst is over movingwise. You are so lucky to be living in such a beautiful place with deer romping around. How relaxing it's going to be after you have everything in it's place. I'll bet you and your neighbor will become friends in no time at all. How could she not like you?
