Hi Guys  Oh how I adore the Internet and especially a message board like THIS one, where like-minded (and tummied) people can come for much needed support.  
I am a 30 something woman (although at times I can be 5, 10, 15, even 90 - depending upon what mood I'm in)  who lives in Southern CA with her boyfriend and soulmate Chris, and a cat named Furby who is our 4-legged, striped son. LOL I am here with you because I have IBS-C but also I suffer from CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and as a result, am on permanent disability. Before I left work, I used to be a teacher's assistant working with mentally & physically challenged children and adults. In my life I've lived in Brooklyn, NY, South Beach, FL and now that I've met Chris, Los Angeles, CA.
My passions in life are: Keeping my loved ones happy, writing poetry, photography, crocheting, reading, and working on my Internet website, playing the Sims (and anticipating the Sims 2 soon!) , listening to music, stargazing, laughing, watching dvds, and finally, generally trying to live each day as if it were my last.

I'm sorry you have to be here (because of the IBS), but so glad you found us!
You crochet!! I crochet too. I've been trying to teach myself how to knit, but I love my crochet and I don't think anything's going to change that. We have a few other things in common - I live in Maine with my boyfriend and soulmate Adam, and our 2 furbabies, Phoebe and Phaedra. And by the way, I can totally relate to the age thing... I'm 29 but really I'm usually about 19, even if my body tries to tell me I'm 99. Heh.
Anyway, I know you've posted for a little while, but in case I didn't say it before... welcome!

Marilyn, really nice to "meet" you! You sound like one of us already!! As a 51 year old with fibromyalgia, I also have an inner 90 year old lady!! So I can totally relate!
