Hey, I've always wonder about the history behind all of our profile pictures. So, share it with everyone if ya would.

I'll start.... this is cropped from one of our engagement pictures taken on Alki Beach where we live in Seattle, WA in July 2002.

My profile picture was taken at my friend Patrick's wedding back on September 2nd, 2001. I was probably pretty drunk at that point!

I sell vintage clothes on ebay. I don't normally model clothes in my listings, but sometimes my size-1 mannequin just doesn't do something justice. So I threw on the vintage 1960s floor-length embroidered Japanese silk coat, and Adam took a few pictures. I was just hamming around, basically. I don't think I used this one in the listing.

My daughter took mine with her digital camera this past Easter Sunday. She took about 10 pictures and I kept saying they didn't look good. Finally she said I am not taking anymore so I settled for this one.

You could say that my not being able to recall is a strong indicator of how drunk I was that night!

This pic was cropped from a larger picture, one of the few pix I have that aren't packed away in storage. It's taken of me and my best friend -- she was hugging me from behind -- at my desk in the office after I gave notice and informed everyone I was moving up to Washington State. They took pictures of me with everyone and surprised me with a photo album as a "going-away" gift. The picture was taken April 2001.

Oh my gosh Steph...you have gorgeous hair!!! (I looked at your family pic.) Is it still that long???
Anyway, my pic was taken this January when my hubby (fiancee at the time) and I went to Jamaica to get married. It was taken by my maid-of-honor on our first night there, we were waiting to go eat at an asain restaraunt called Tokyo Joe's. The food was incredible!

Hi,

My picture was taken right after I got a digital camera for Christmas, 2003. I had to get one with my sweetie pie, Rusty, and I thought that would be a good one to use for the profile. "Love me, love my dog" Ha Ha ..... Although, not one of the best pictures of me. Whew, it takes a lot of skill looking good in front of the camera....right?? Think I will practice making a better picture and re-do my profile pic someday. Bet ya'll can hardly wait...huh!! Don't hold your breath.

Baby Marisah will be coming in November. We are going to try to go. We are also going to try and make a trip in August to see their new house & puppy. Guess what I did today? I bought a pair of pink little baby shoes that had "I love Daddy" on them. I just couldn't resist. I am going to give them to my son on his B'day in August.

Can't wait to go to SLC.. It is so beautiful there.

It was the best vacation I have ever experienced. The wedding was small, very intimate. We had just 2 other people go with us. Here's the pic, if you want to see it web page
I ALWAYS tell people that that's where they should go for vacation because we had such a wonderful, relaxing time.

was taken at Epcot with my Grandma this past January. It was at the "Imagination" pavillion. You could take digital photos and email them to the folks at home. Which, frankly, isn't actually all that rare or cool, thus we didn't have to wait to play with it. Even though it's back in my chubbier days, I still thought that I looked pretty good, so I'm using it.

My profile pic was taken this past January and it is my engagment picture. For the wedding we got it blown up to about a 10x13 and got it specially matted so that everyone in the wedding party and parents and photographers and pastor could all sign it. The matting alone cost $45, we just recently took it to a framing shop to finish it, and guess how much that cost... the framing was $133! the actual picture only cost us $6. Oh well, it'll now be on our wall for us to remember how much we spent for eternity!

My boyfriend took the picture while I was visiting him last month in Istanbul. We were walking down to Dolmabahce Palace from his apartment, and we were at the top of a hill that if you look past the road, you can see the Bosporos. One, he likes taking pictures of me (which I hate) and two, he was trying to get the Bosporos in the background. He didn't really succeed on the second part, but I think the picture turned out ok....and it's the most recent picture I have of me.

This picture was taken in August of 2002. I used it because it was on my computer already. We don't have a digital camera, and I'm too lazy to scan pictures (sorry). I'm currently updating my photo albums, though, so maybe I'll be inspired and take the initiative to scan a more recent picture. I don't look significantly different, though.

This one was taken in Feb. after I finally got my hair cut and highlighted. Can you beleive that was 20 weeks ago? I was 5 weeks pregnant. It was my birthday gift but it took a month to get in. I should update it since my hair is not that long anymore. Maybe I will next week after I get it cut again. I look like a bush right now with my thick hair grow too fast and bushy. Of course maybe I should use one of the pictures of my girls.

I used to love vintage clothes too - don't anymore because, sadly, all the "vintage" clothes out there now are the stuff I used to wear in high school! UGH! I mean, I've already worn that! It sucks getting old.

Like the time I saw my lunchbox from kindergarten in an ANTIQUE STORE! What a blow!

Uh oh, now I have to wonder if what I consider vintage clothes is what you wore in high school. Heh. I DO get really aggravated when I see anything 1980s called "vintage". That's just crazy. I'm not old enough to have worn anything "vintage" the first time around, darnit!

If I can find the whole picture, I'll post it. It's pretty silly, though. I think it shows more leg than coat.

Rusty is a sweetie alright. I have a new found love for dogs that I never had before.... I've always been a cat lover.... but my boss has always had dogs...and the last one became VERY ill and I ended up taking care of hom during the day in my office. And now I'm puppy sitting during the day for my bosses son's dog until they move at the end of this month.

I like your pic... no need to change it.

Yes, I recall when you did this! Wow...20 weeks ago.... really? Ok... lets see the new hair now

Mine was taken last summer. A girl I was seeing came up to visit. I had days off, but she wanted to see me in my uniform, so I put it on and she snapped that picture. (she's since probably burned her copy )

Mine is cropped from a picture taken from a visit to the botanical gardens in St. Louis, MO this spring. My husband figured out how to use the timer on it, so the original actually includes him too.

My next picture will definitely involve the Miata!

My most recent picture is me and my boyfriend at the surprise birthday party I threw him at our favorite bar last month. It's the only picture of the two of us, so I got I got it framed the next day and gave it to him as a birthday gift too. He thinks he looks way too drunk, which is funny since the picture was taken before he started drinking! LOL

Oh, I love Epcot. It's my favorite one of the Disney parks. It's like the biggest, coolest science museum you could ever go to. And it has the best restaurants.

As for the chubbier days, thanks guys! But I was definitely overweight in that picture. The BMI doesn't lie! (Hey, that rhymed). Not by a lot, but by enough that it did me good to lose 20 pounds. Now I just have to lose 10 of those again. Sigh.

Jenny, you silly goose!! You're gorgeous in that picture!

My picture, as you probably know, was taken at our Christmas Dance this past December. My friend Andrea said, "Hey Jess!" and when I turned around to face her she snapped this picture. That's why I'm standing so oddly

Please ignore that I'm wearing fishnets with open-toed shoes... the jacket was way too long for me, and those shoes were the highest heels I had.

Oh yeah, and I just realized that I never said when this was taken. It was back in early March. Since then, my hair's gotten a bit longer, I cut bangs, I lost 20lbs, and I gave up trying to wear contacts. So in other words, I really look nothing like my picture. LOL!

Mine was taken about three months ago. i am at a diner in Maryland with my BF and four other couples. We were there for a get together of people from an online car forum that he frequents. My hair looks short in the picture, but it really goes more than half way down my back, it is layered.
My BF doesn't normally look that silly... he just smiles funny for photos! This is the only one I have of the two of us, or even just me.

i looked at your post before I read your explanation, and I thought that was a "normal" picture of you and how you really dress. Not that there is anything wrong with dressing different! But it was funny when I realized that I made the mistake!

taping of a radio show? which one?

It was a show called Whad'Ya Know hosted by a guy named Michael Feldman. Sort of a hodge-podge type show with an opening monologue, and interview, two quizes, some music and what ever Mr. Feldman decides he wants to do. I'd been listening to it on the radio since I got down here a couple years ago, and since Madison is relatively close, I convinced a bunch of people to go there so that we could check it out.

hehe, if she did get it lamenated, it was to hang it up so she could through darts at it. Things ended badly and she refuses to talk to me. I understand why she was upset, but I didn't do anything wrong. ah well... women!

Casey you are GORGEOUS!!!! I can't believe you've lost 20 pounds though eek! You look thin enough in that pic!
Anyway, just wondering - you mentioned the contacts. What about them bothers you? I have tried probably 3 times now and just can't stand them. They bother my eyes, I cannot focus on a computer screen whatsoever and I find that my vision becomes worse. lol, thats me. always more "difficult" than most hey!

Y'all are making me blush. I didn't need to lose 20lbs... thanks to IBS, I didn't have a choice. But to be fair, the picture was taken from a funny angle - Adam was standing on a chair! So I really *look* about the same size in a normal picture now as I did in that one then. Clear as mud? Right. Haha.

I have really really really dry eyes. I've worn contacts on and off for years, and really didn't have much of a problem seeing with them, but I had to use rewetting drops at least 5 or 6 times a day, sometimes as much as once an hour. It was just a pain. I don't know if it's because I don't work anymore and I therefore don't care what I look like, or if I'm just not as vain as I used to be, but I'll stick with glasses, thanks.

... is actually a picture of Adrian (boyfriend) and I, and it's one of my favourite pictures (we have it in a frame). Oh, it's one I posted when we were all posting pictures... Anywho, at the time I added my picture to the site, it was the only pic I had on the computer that you could really see me.. so I chopped Adrian out, and there I am! He was actually pretty insulted when he saw me trying to cut him out.. hee hee. Then he saw me looking at the boards one day and went, "Hey! She has HER boyfriend in the picture!" Whoops, hehe.
We were at a pub in that picture for our friend's leaving do 'cause he was off to University.. so that was last September.. oy, that is quite an old picture. I went camera crazy last year, I have to start taking pictures again.
Oh well, that's what trips to Spain are for, right??
