OK...I know this is weird, but I live in Minnesota, and we've only had one week of 80 degree weather, but I'm already in the mood for fall weather. Specifically I'm excited for Halloween. (I love seeing all the kids dressed up!!!!!) It's only July for cryin out loud!!! It's gonna be a looooooong summer.

I do, literally, look forward to it all year. It's a shame it's the shortest season... or it seems so, anyway.
I love Halloween! And I don't even have kids to see dressed up! Tee hee.

You and me both Casey. Fall is so beautiful, all the colors, the fresh, crisp air. I can only imagine what it looks like in Maine!

I hate summer. Too bloody hot! That's why we moved up here from California -- to escape the heat. Plays havoc with my seratonin levels which in turns plays havoc with my IBS.
Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the fresh air and the falling leaves, cool days and brisk nights. It's so refreshing! And so relieving -- that the summer is OVER! Yaay.
You're right -- it's gonna be a lonnnnnnnng summer.

Being from Maine and on a lake, I grew up around loons. They're my favorite! I miss them. You're so lucky to be surrounded by them. I collect loon decoys, and have a rather nice bunch of 'em, one of which was hand carved by a loon lover in Wisconsin; it cost me a fortune, but it's well worth it. I also have a magnificent huge poster of a loon taken at night over a lake; it's gonna be hung in a special spot at the top of the stairs in the new house.
Do you live near/on a lake? Are there lots of loons that cry out over the lake at night? We have gorgeous Canadian geese up here, but nothing can replace my beloved loons.

Oh my!!! Loons fly over my house every night. I love that sound. So calming. We live about 1 mile from a lake. Well, actually 2 lakes, their just connected.
