I jsut sat there stunned for a moment before answering, "Yes! Of course!!" and she said "Great, just bring the application with you then!" So I'm wondeirng if they're really, really desperate for a new employee or something?? Anyways, just wish me luck! Any news on any of your interviews yet, Jen? I was hired at the job I have now when I was 14 and it all started off really well, because it's a very small bookstore and she had 4 employees - jsut the right amount. So I got to work 3 days a week and I earned about $60 a week. Then she slowly starting cutting me back, and now I only work 2-4 HOURS a week, only on Wednesdays, and I get about $18 when I work the full 4. That's not going to cut it anymore now that I have a car! Plus, I live only with my mom and sister, and my sister goes to school year-round and needs more things than I do, so I'm usually stuck buying my own wants & needs because a single parent budget is very slim! Jen - I bet you got a job at least at ONE of those places! hopefully at the higher paying one, of course. A publishing company....sounds like a Bridget Jones experience? Just kidding! Anyway, I really, really hope you get that job! I can't wait you guys! I know that a lot of local papers have their classified ads on-line. What about Monster.com? I don't know if they have the kind of jobs you are looking for, but it might save you some gas money at least. I work for a hospital and we have a website where you can apply on-line. You can even attach your resume. Maybe now is the time to look for an entry level position in another field where you have no experience but you like the location and the people that you would be working with.
