Hi,
My husband e-mailed this to me and I thought I would share. ------------------------- The Best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight shoes. ------------------------- Maybe we should all go out a buy some tight shoes!!!
As a matter of fact, I do remember a time (in my younger day) I wore very tight, very high heels (very short skirt, too ) The only thing I could think about was how my feet hurt. Are we willing to trade hurting stomachs for hurting feet. I think I would Now, where are those old high heels???

Now, when I first read this, I immediately imagined a man wearing high heels. THAT made me forget my troubles!! lol It's very cute, Barbie! But I'm too tall for heels! (At 5'9 I already tend to tower over most people! )

Oh yeah, Sis! 4" spike heels, with pointed toes. I SOOOO remember them!
It was in the late '60's, when mini-skirts were in style, and all us females burned our bras. I can't believe I went to work like that, my skirt up to my... well, you know. And spike heels, with my boobs bouncing as I walked! OMG!
I remember one day, I was walking towards the office in S.F., and the wind caught my skirt and blew it up over my chest. I was so embarrassed, because a gentleman was approaching me from the front and saw everything -- EVERYTHING! As he passed by, he didn't miss a beat, and said to me, "Thank You!"

Hey sis,
I have noticed that the spike heels are back in style. Darn, they do make legs look good, though. I don't think I could wear them now...Oh my aching feet! I go for comfort in my "old age". Give me my slides any day.
And remember the knee high boots with the mini skirts???? And the teased up hair??? I thought I was so cool. I don't even recognize myself in some of my old pictures.
Your story about the wind and your skirt was great! Ha Ha I bet you made that guy's day!! I remember I was in a home movie with my "mini" skirt and part of my underwear was showing when I bent over....I will never live that down. Boy, we must have been some wild women in the day!!! These "young ones" don't know how to have a good time!!!

Count me in on the knee high boots with mini skirts!! I wore em!! LOVED that look. Actually it's kind of back the past couple years here in NYC. The skirts aren't as short but it's still a cool look. And as long as the heel isn't too high and I wear dark stockings, I can still pull it off!! Talk about an ego boost!! I may be fibro frogged, in pain and exhausted but I still LOOK damn good!! he he
Oh, shoot, your skirt story just reminded me of a joke.
A crazy old lady in a nursing home was going around lifting up her nightgown and saying "Supersex." Well, she went over to an old guy in a wheelchair and lifted up her nightie and said "Supersex." The old guy thought for a minute and said sadly, "I guess I'll have the soup."

5'9"?!?!?! GIRL. You are the PERFECT height. Especially for heels. And you're gorgeous! I'm 5'11". I used to hate it (in H.S.), now I love it. My husband loves it. I belong to a modeling agency and I get a lot of work in my town, and comments about my height and how they love finding tall girls. It's beautiful! I do wish I was 5'9" though so I could wear heels. My husband is 6'1", so he's not much taller than me at all.
Be proud! And are you in college yet? I forget. College was SO much better for me than high school with the height thing. I did absolutely hate growing up TALL, but now it's much better.
