how to crush fennel seeds??

sorry if this question has been asked before, for the fennel tea does the seeds have to be crushed and if so how do you crush? I find that when i put the whole thing in my tea 'chopped' or not, there's really no flavour. So i ate a few soaked seeds and whoa, there's all this flavour. Am I missing something here?

I put about a teaspoon of seeds on a paper towel, fold it over and roll with a rolling pin. I put them in a tea diffuser, and add a peppermint tea bag and brew. I really like the two flavors together.
What kind of store did you find the seeds?

I did the same Kree. I thought I might get a richer flavor and a little more power for the punch of they were crushed. Read my earlier post on how I do this, you might have a better idea. I like to use them crushed. I was too tired to brew tea tonight, I chewed some, helped my tummy out alot.

why don,t you buy the fennel seeds in tea bags,thay have them at health food store.
