I'm 26, divorced but dating the most wonderful man in the world.

And I am a HUGE movie buff and could spend hours just watching movies. I LOVE MOVIES

i'm unbelievably optimistic and rarely let stuff get to me...but even i have an off day

what do you do for a living?

I'm a communications representative for the Michigan Department of Transportation

how old are you? 26

where did you go to school?

grand valley state university. my major is in journalism. i was going to be the sports editor of our college newspaper, but got an internship at MDOT and the rest is history.

are you married, dating, single?

engaged to be married on july 10 this year

what do you like to do on your down time?

watch movies also. my fiance and i watch at least 5-7 movies a week. we always buy dvds, and have over 200 of them. i can't stand going to theaters, so it's great. we recently got a 52" wide screen tv, and LOVE watching movies on it.

we also like to workout together. rarely (i mean like three times over the past year) do we work out alone. it's great and completely motivating.

i read like crazy also. i love comparing books to movies as well.

we also have a doggie Max (big black Lab, part bear I swear) that's our baby.
what makes you tick?

not sure yet what makes me tick. i'll not cry at movies, but will cry reading books. if someone insults me, i'll cry and not get mad. i'm not that great at expressing my opionion or sticking up for myself, but my outspoken fiance is teaching me the how-tos and benefits of doing just that.

i'm a sucker for puppies and can't stand people who wallow in self pity. i have four aweseome friends and three of those are my fiance, my mom and my sister. family is everything to me.

Hi Julee!

Well, my name is Melissa. I will be 23 years old on June 20. I have worked at Boeing since I turned 20. I am currently an Office Administrator, but just got a promotion to an HR Specialist. I start a week before my wedding, on May 7.
I'm currently going to school to get my degree in Organizational Leadership (it's like an HR degree). I only have 39 credits left (almost a SENIOR!)
I have also been with my fiance since I've worked at Boeing, over 3 years. I love him very much. We bought a house near my job when I was 21 years old.

I have 2 cats that I also love very much. My fiance and I are going to start trying for a baby next month. I am SOO ready!
In my down time, I exercise a lot. I have about 25 videos that I rotate every day (kickboxing, aerobics, all kinds), and I lift weights and do abs. I also ride my stationary bike every day.
I also love to read, and have read about 60 books since November (no lie, and this is with getting all A's in school at the same time). I read while I'm on my bike.

I also LOVE animals! I donate to numerous charities. I feel so sorry for them because they are so innocent and adorable.
Let's see....what else? Oh, I also love to sing, and I am always singing. But I really hate dancing, and my fiance loves it.

Anyway, that's about it!

My name is Lana. I am 25 years old and currently work as an administrative assistant although I really love my sales position that I gave up to cover a maternity leave.

I will be going on my own maternity leave at the end of this week for one year (which I am a little nervous about)

I went to school in a small town in the province. I never went to college or anything because I just don't have the attention span....If a bird flew by the window my thought process is done LOL

I am married and have been married for two years on June 22 to a wonderfully, hilarious man!

In my down town I love scrapbooking although since I have been preg I have been so tired and maybe completed 5 layouts, tops! But it's my passion and I love it...I get goosebumps just thinking about going down and scrapping my day away LOL

What makes me tick? Well, I would say for the most part I am pretty easy going. Things don't get to me all that much. Except if someone is mean to one of my friends...then look out...I am like a big mama bear that way LOL

I love to be surrounded by friends and family and couldn't imagine my life without them! I consider myself quite blessed to have the wonderful support system I have.

The End.

what do you do for a living?
officially, i work for the phone company as a "customer service clerk" which means i sit in front of a computer all day slowly dying of boredom. unofficially, i am a chocolatier and hope to make that my official job within the next 6 months or so.
how old are you?
25.
that's a lie.
where did you go to school?
i went to Towson Univiersity, right here in Maryland. same school my grandmother went to, my father, and one of my brothers! (oh, and his wife!) i went as a kid of 18 and studied Studio Art, then am currently enrolled as an Art History student (but not attending due to health issues). in the meanwhile, i became a licensed American Sign Language interpreter at a local school. i'm a woman of many talents!
as you may guess from my original spelling of the word above, i never graduated from the Univeriersity.
are you married, dating, single?
single as the day is long...
what do you like to do on your down time?
read, paint, play on the IBS boards, play with my niece, cook, make chocolates, eat chocolates, check out new restaurants, root for the O's, knit, dream about moving to the beach, have a cosmopolitan or two and flirt with boys.

what makes you tick?
seeing my niece keeps me positive about life, dreaming about living at the beach one day keeps me moving forward, and chocolate fuels me!

I didn't realize you worked for Boeing... my husband was a Software Engineer there (in one of the big teal buildings) for a couple of years. He left in October when we moved to Austin. Do you ever go to Dressel's? That was our most favorite spot in St. Louis... we miss it.

My name is Cindy and I am an oldie (39!) but I think a goodie, most of the time anyway. I have two little girls with my husband who I married at 21. We met at college, the Univ. of ME. I studied Animal Science, wanted to be a vet, but growing up got in the way of that, sorry to say. I also have a certificate in accounting from Northeastern Univ. I used it to be an accountant for the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston and Orlando, coolest job I ever had, so much fun.
I stay home now and orchestrate our family, also a cool job, and kids make everything fun.
What makes me tick? Open mindedness and realizing that you can look at situations in many different ways. Random acts of kindness. The human mind.

OK getting a little too deep there. I also love movies and books.

Cindy

what do you do for a living?
I'm a full time college student, with 2 part time jobs, one in the freshmen engineering labs at my school, and one in a research lab at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
how old are you?
21, though I've been told I act a lot older, but look a lot younger

I go to Drexel University, here in Philly, with a double major in biomedical and electrical engineering. For high school, I'm originally from Richmond, VA and went to a magnet gifted high school there.

what do you like to do on your down time?
I love to read, but I tend to get dizzy spells and headaches when I read most of the time anymore, which sucks (I've been to the eye doc and the reg doc about it, was told it's just stress). I love hanging out with my best friend, and we usually watch movies, since he's a huge movie buff and has a list of movies he wants me to see.

what makes you tick?
My two passions are theatre and robotics. I love doing production work for theatre, set construction and stage management especially. I'm also involved in an international high school robotics competition that's soooo much fun.

Hi Chinagrl,
No, I've never heard of Dressel's. Is it a restaurant or club or something? I have like no social life, I stay at home, so I have no clue what it is.

Yeah, Boeing is a very cool place to work because of the benefits. They pay for all of school and health insurance and all that. The bad thing is that I am one of the only people at Boeing under 25, much less 30. They are all very old (mostly men with glasses and gray hair and very unattractive). I definitely feel discriminated against because I'm so young. It's ageism, I tell you!

how old are you?

I'll be 24 in September

I went to York University and got my Honours B.A in English and Anthropology. I'm currently enrolled in a graduate course at Ryerson University (it's night school)...so I'm always super busy working all day and in school at night.

what do you like to do on your down time?

i like to read, write, go fishing and do pretty much anything outdoors. I'm also a huge movie fan!!

what makes you tick?

my dad and my younger brother are the most important people to me in my life. I like to spend lots of time with my brother. I have a group of 6 really great girlfriends...we all hang out all the time and we are a huge support to each other. When I'm feeling too down all they have to do is take me dancing and I feel better right away!!

Oh Lord... I have a friend who's still at Boeing as a software engineer and she says the same thing! All of the people there are really, really old. There was like, one guy under 30 in her building.

Dressel's is a Welsh Pub over in the Central West End (I'm guessing you live in St. Charles?) It was a really nice place to just hang out and chill.

chinagrl,

What's your friend's name? It's not like I'm going to know the person, so I don't know why I bother asking...There are like thousands of people that work here..

No, I don't live in St. Charles..not too far from there, though. I grew up in Jefferson/South county, like the bottom of hwy. 270. Now I live in the extreme opposite direction in North County (Hazelwood, 5 minutes from the Boeing buildings).

That's cool that you went to Wash U. I hear that's a pretty hard school. I think that's right in the city, isn't it? I've never been there. I go to Maryville University. It's off 40 and 141 (on Ladue Road). It's pretty small, but I love it.

Ok here goes:
I'm 22 years old.
I work for a bank and I do telephone banking which means 24/7 365 days a year of answering phones and assisting customers with all their banking needs
I went to school at the University of Western Ontario in London, ON for a year, and now I'm doing distance education through Athabasca University.
I'm dating my high-school sweetie, we've been together for 6 years and now we're living together.
In my down-time I like to shop on the internet (Ebay!) and watch movies and tv on DVD which I absolutely love.
What makes me tick? That's a good question, I really don't know. I'm driven most when it comes to school, I love to learn and really want to get my degree. I also really enjoy my job, and so that motivates me to manage to get up and going everyday when I feel like crap. And my little secret is that when I'm really down, I listen to my old CD's of a boyband called Take That (from early 90s) which lets out my inner geek and never fails to cheer me up!

what do you do for a living?
Um, I don't know.. I was a travel agent.. before that a waitress.. Now I work in a bar. My "Big Girl Job" is supposed to be an Administrative Officer for the Metropolitan Police in London, but they have been doing checks and stuff since August and still aren't done so I haven't actually been able to start my new job. I am thinking it may never happen.

how old are you?
21

Where did you go to school? I went to the local college where I lived and am a few credits short of an Associate of Arts Degree (which is basically half of a real degree). I intent to get that, then transfer to a University after we go back to Canada.

are you married, dating, single? I am dating the most wonderful man on this side of the Atlantic named Adrian. We have talked about getting married but it's more of a "one day..." thing I think - I'm still young, I think! We will be together one year on the 22nd of this month. He is immigrating to Canada in December. *swoon*

what do you do in your down time? Hang out with the boyfriend, play cards (I love card games!), read, watch reality TV, watch the O.C., my newfound guilty pleasure, cook, go for walks, go shopping, take cat naps, listen to music, talk to my friends on MSN from Canada. In Canada, I like to play with my 2 dogs, play with my 4 year old neice, hang out with my sister, drink 'til I can't feel my feet (I don't do that one since leaving Canada, but it was a bit part of my life for quite some time).

what makes you tick? My boyfriend. My best friend Arley. Cross word puzzles. Songs with lyrics that try to rhyme words that don't actually rhyme. The list goes on and on...

Still trying to figure that out. I was hired on to do payroll and HR for a packaging company, but somehow got A/R added on there. For the next two weeks, my role also includes receptionist until I can hire a new one, since my new one just flaked out on me.
how old are you?
Just turned 22!
where did you go to school?
Been going part-time to community college at Ohlone and San Jose City for 4 yrs now (I'm the 43rd graduating class of Ohlone next month for my AA!) and am currently attending San Jose State for my bachlor in Administration of Justice.
are you married, dating, single?
Dating my hunny, Jason - who tends to keep track of my IBS diet more than I do! Technically, we've only been serious a month now, but we've been dating for over 6 months and friends for 3 yrs.
what do you like to do on your down time?
Well, when I get time, I like to keep busy by keeping my boys out of jail with their sometimes stupid stunts, ride my motorcycle, fishing, cross-stitch, crabbing, and watch my adorable cousins.
what makes you tick?
Hmm.. that's a good question. My boyfriend and family play a huge role. My boyfriend watches out for me when often times I don't, and my family supports me in any decision that I make. Everybody is always willing to help me out, too.

Well, I run an optical store. Its a small office, just the Dr and myself so I do EVERYTHING! the Dr. owns 2 other offices some distance away so he only works 2 days a week, the rest of the time, I'm in the office by myself.

I'm 33

I never actually attended college I was married the first time when I was 18, my husband at that time went to school and I worked full time in a pharmacy. We lived in a college town so I did a lot of "college stuff!" even though I didn't actually take any classes.

I was remarried when I was 29.

I love to garden and "fix-up" our house. We live in a very old house, it was built in 1922 so there is a lot of fixing up to do!

Not sure what makes me tick, still trying to figure that one out!

I have three friends at Boeing right now, the one I was talking about was Sandy McPherson. I can't remember Mark and Ryan's last names at the minute. I need a nap.

Yeah, Wash U is right in the middle of the city. Parts of it were hard... I guess it has a really good ranking for undergrads. You wouldn't always know it from their papers though. It's right by Forest Park and the Loop.

It's funny... I've never heard of Maryville. Guess our paths never crossed!

I made it through two years at Moorpark community college before I "took a break"....two years ago
are you married, dating, single?
Single
what do you like to do on your down time?
I absolutely love hockey and go to games as much as possible. Lately I read a lot. I love going to concerts, gambling, amazing spa treatments, yoga, laughing and going out dancing. Shopping for things that I don't need is key(I am a sucker for packaging) and just being with my friends.
what makes you tick?
Lets see...friends & family, Hawaii, hockey, cheesy 80s movies, yummy food and being sober. That basically sums me up.

Hey Lilybear,
So you're thinking about distance education eh? Well, I hope I can be helpful
I personally really like it, I enjoyed my first year at University (real classes) but with my health problems and the fact that I work full-time, I was hardly ever actually attending class anyways.
The biggest thing about distance edcuation is that you really have to be self-motivated, because they don't set the exams and tests dates for you, so you have to be willing to push yourself to get it done.
Some of the things I like about Athabasca are it's flexibility, courses start on the 1st day of every month, and you have up to 12 months to finish a course, but you can finish earlier if you want. When you're ready to write the exam you just have to give them notice and arrange for a place to write it (they have a huge list of places you can go where they have proctors) and then you're all set!
Plus, they have excellent tutors and education advisors, it really isn't that much different then "regular" school except that you don't go to class! So if you're someone who really needs live instruction it might be hard, but if you're a self-learner, it's pretty cool!
If you need any more info let me know, I'd be happy to help!
Kelly

Hi Lilybear,

I'm also taking distance education courses at the moment. I'm doing mine through the University of Waterloo (near where Vicam lives in Ontario). Unlike Athabasca it's primarily a fulltime University and they've got distance ed courses as well. These courses have a set time limit and a set exam date (mine's this weekend). I chose Waterloo instead of Athabasca cause I'm actualy hoping to go to school full time for a year or two and I figured it'd be easier to transfer my credits this way.

Having courses with set time limits are good because it gives some outside help to not put off studying and get the assignment done. However in your case, to just finish up your degree, Athabasca may be a good choice.

Hope this helps

Man, these threads go on FOREVER. I've got ya all mixed up in my mind now. I'm convinced the Fibro is screwing with my memory! Anyway...

1. What do you do for a living?... I'm a meteorologist (weather forecaster) for my sins. I currently work at a private weather centre in London which I hate. Gonna quit in not very long and probably work for myself as a consultant meteorologist for yachting people. Thuogh I have been having some second thoughts about becoming a gardener!

2. How old are you?... 23 (I think - see the memory's going!).

3. Where did you go to school?... I take it you mean college? I went to the Univeristy of Reading to do my Met. degree.

4. Are you married, dating, single?... Engaged to the darlingest man, getting married on 10 July (Aaargh! Not long now! ).

5. What do you like to do on your down time?... Sleep! Read novels. Sail. Walk the family dog. Eat out. Hang out with my fiance Simon. Hang out with friends.

6. What makes you tick?... My hunny-bunny Si! And you guys - you keep me sane! Can't wait to be a mommy tho - we're getting a puppy this year instead!

Some unsolicited advice from an almost 40 year old...introspection is what the 20's are all about. The 30's are well I am just gonna be me and that is good enough, so here I am. Much easier. Don't know about the 40's yet. So I think the fact that you just know that your kitten IS cute is great, very definitive. As for the rest just experiment...as legally as possible of course.

are you married, dating, single? Pretty much married (common law) but not on paper yet

what do you like to do on your down time? When I actually get down time I like to: hang out with family, go to the gym, go to the cabin, fish, hunt, hiking/bird watching, walk the dog, make moccasins, paint, gardening (during our short growing season), bake....that's all I can think of!

what makes you tick? Right now, when aboriginals think hunting an endangered caribou herd is ok (there are less than 100 animals left!), also when things break down (like my Snowmobile did yesterday, and had to get a tow!!)

Thank you for all the information you provided about your distance education college:) I am definitely considering it due to health problems. I find that teaching myself is better for me, and I am motivated to finish school. I like the idea of home-schooling, and its more convenient. That's really neat that Athabasca is so flexible. I like the way their courses ar run with time to finish the course. Tutors and advisors? That's great! If I come up with any other questions, I'll be sure to ask you:) Thanks again!

Thanks JBI for posting your experience with Waterloo:) Any information that you guys can provide is really helpful to me, because you two are in their program and I want to know how you like the experience. I like the flexibility but set due dates and times are also a good idea to keep me on track. I didn't know about distance education degrees before. Since I am from the USA can I still apply to this distance education school in Canada? I have heard about online degrees from the University of Phoenix. I would like to go to school on campus, but I feel this is a better method for myself. Thank you and Have a nice weekend.

Okay . . . you're still doin' stuff like the young kids in their 30's, keeping up with them pretty darn well, completely unaware of what's happening to you.

You hit 50, and things start not working right. You can manage to keep up with your hubby (who's in his 60's, but doesn't act it), so you figure, hey, I'm still hot . . . (again, completely unaware of what's happening to you).

By 60, it's all over.

Thanks, Joan!! Where ya been?

Well for me, when it comes to guys, I like to sit back for a while and observe and see how they act with their friends around so that I can learn more about them. I'd like to know what I'd be getting myself into if I started something with them! However, when the guy is really nice, it always makes me hope that maybe they'll just start talking to me first. Conversation starting with boys has never been my strong suit!

I am 54 years old and retired on disbility. I have other health issues besides IBS. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, diabetis, and degenerative arthritis. I don't have any cartilage in either knee and ambulation is a problem.
I am married for 30 years, no children; on Schnauzer--Zoe. Before I had to retire in 1995, I worked for eighteen years in our local state facility for Mentally Challenged Children. I loved my "kids" and I miss them so very much.
I love to read, watch old black/white movies, studying anything to do with psychology. I am active in my church, volunteer for the elderly ( taking them to doctor's appts, groceries, ect).

I'm an ebay book seller. To my customers I'm known as "the*book*queen". I also homeschool our youngest son, and take care of my husband. (He's disabled due to diabetes complications; too numerous to mention them all.)

how old are you?
I'm 49 and I can't believe it! In my head I'm still young. (Oh, dear, I'm nearing the awful 50's!!)

where did you go to school? The School of Hard Knocks and our local County College.

are you married, dating, single?
Married; to a very wonderful guy.

what do you like to do on your down time?
I LOVE to learn new things. I read books and research things that pique my interest. I also like being outside, working thinking puzzles (crosswords, logic puzzles, analogies, anything with numbers, etc.). I love taking care of my family and mothering anyone who will let me. I enjoy church. I also love to laugh and joke around. I like getting to know people and learning about them.

what makes you tick?
People. I consider them my most important investment.

Ok then. I will definitely be taking advantage of my 40's then. Good to know. By the way the weather is just so beautiful in Maine right now. 50's..low 60's and sunny and the flowers are just starting to come up. Beach weather.
Hope your house is coming along well.

Oh by the way, when you first starting having your anxiety attacks what did they feel like? Like what physical symptoms did you have? Do you think that they are a sypmtom of IBS or seperate from it? Did they start before or after your IBS started? Lots of questions I know, but I need to pick that brain of yours, so full of wisdom and such.

Thanks,
Cindy

Hey, It wasn't too long ago I was living there with you... and my sister's still a teenager. I had lunch with my high school best friend this past summer (I hadn't talked to her in a few years) and we marvelled at how upset we got about things that wouldn't even phase us now.

50's and 60's? OMG! Don't tell me that stuff; I can't take it! I can't take it, I tell ya!

The anxiety happened well after my colonoscopy, really when I finally came to grips with the truth about my IBS. I felt alone with this -- it was before I came on the boards -- and I was scared. My GI wasn't helping me at all (and in fact showed me the door). I had Heather's books, and that's what I was going by, nothing else. I had some REALLY stressful stuff happening at the time, and I just couldn't handle it all, the stress and the IBS, the constant cramps, and NOT GETTING ANY HELP. I felt like my body was breaking down inside, that this was a part of aging, and every time I had an attack and was stuck on the toilet, doubled over with cramps, I just knew it was cancer. I was scared to death.

The worst panic attack occurred in Canada. I was at a Home Depot store, far away from anyone I knew, in a foreign country. I just panicked. I stood there, frozen to the spot, sweat pouring down my face, which had turned white as a sheet. Hubby looked at me and said, "Wow! What's WRONG with you?" I ran to the bathroom, locked myself in a stall, sat on the pot and clutched onto the walls for support. I knew I was dying, I just knew it, dying in a foreign country, away from everyone I knew and loved, my body totally falling apart, while sitting on a public toilet.

I truly believed that my whole problem was the fact that my body was dying inside -- whether from cancer or something in my colon -- I just didn't know what it was, but I just knew that this was how I was going to die.

When I got myself home, I stayed home. And it just got worse. Every time I tried to leave the confines of this little condo I had an attack. I scouted out all the public bathrooms in the area -- and across the border -- because I knew I'd need them. The more I worried, the worse my fears became, the worse my IBS was, and the more often the attacks occurred. It was a vicious cycle. My conscious mind kept telling my subconscious that it was time to panic, which manifested itself in the form of cramps and hot flashes, which had nothing to do with my menopausal hot flashes (I know the difference!). It was just total panic.

Finally it got so bad I couldn't leave this place, not even to go for a walk with hubby around the golf course. One time I ventured out anyway, trying desperately to get out, but two blocks down the street the diarrhea hit. I ran back home here, barely making it in time, and spent the rest of the evening in the bathroom.

After that, I wouldn't go out at all, not even to the grocery store. I spent a lot of time crying in bed; sometimes I wouldn't get out of bed because I knew I'd have an attack if I did. I was a mess!

It was then that I e-mailed Heather. She turned me onto the Boards and the hypnotherapy program. The rest is history.

Is anxiety a symptom of IBS? I don't think so, Cindy. I think it's just a part of stress and nerves, worrying over something so much that your conscious mind tells your subconscious to panic and flee, that it's in trouble. Michael's program totally took care of my anxiety, completely calmed me down, while the boards made me realize that the IBS had nothing to do with my age or my body "falling apart," and I came to the realization that this was NOT "how I was going to die."

When hubby and I were trying to decide where to build our new home, it was at the same time as I had just started Michael's program. The area I loved the most was very wooded -- like Maine -- with the beautiful lake where we could row, but I was worried about being so far from my doctor, away from any public bathrooms. How would I be able to drive all the way down there without a bathroom? It was a big worry -- but Michael helped me through it.

Now I drive down to the property all the time. And, do you know, even though there's an outhouse in front, I've NEVER had to use it! Yes, I owe Michael SOOO much gratitude.

Okay, I'm rambling now. Sorry this turned out to be so long. I get going and I can't stop.

Enjoy that gorgeous weather -- in God's Country!

Bev

That's gooooood, Bev! I was going to say that the 40s are a little easier on the mind than the 30s were, but a little tougher on the body.

I remember in my late 30s I called up my dad, who was nearly 70, and I told him that I *hurt* more every year, and what was up with that, and did it keep hurting this much more every year, because if it did I was gonna be in trouble by the time I was 50! He cracked up and said no, in your 40s you sort of plateau out for a while ... "but then you get to be my age and it's straight downhill from there."

what do you do for a living?

I'm an editor, primarily books now, also occasionally write for magazines/newspapers, used to do web development, before that used to do graphic design. (And yes, as Bevrs busted me, I've done some commercial cooking.)

how old are you?

I turned 46 in February 2004, just before heading for the ER and three weeks in the hospital and a diagnosis of Crohns.

where did you go to school?

Three years of art at Eastern Oregon State College, bachelor's in journalism from University of Oregon.

are you married, dating, single?

Single now and living with a large furry dog after raising 4 kids; youngest is 24.

what do you like to do on your down time?

Work. Flower gardening, work on my yard, visit with friends, cook. Horseback riding, flyfishing, sailing, hunting, camping, exploring.

what makes you tick?

My work. I love it! And new adventures; I love adventures and have had some pretty great ones -- cooking for firefighters in wilderness camps, diving for abalone, riding a horse across 100 miles of Montana, guiding deer and elk hunters in Oregon, sailboat racing near Mt. St. Helens, canoeing in Arizona ... just to name a few.

Thanks for the explanation. Just recently when out in public places I just have been sort of panicking lately. I think that it has to do with being there and feeling trapped. Like at home when you have to go, you just go, but when out it is not always so easy and comfortable to just go. So I guess my mind just starts "panicking" the minute I feel a twinge or whatever and then like you said, goes into gotta escape mode. So I feel like IBS has been the reason for the anxiety as well as having a general dislike of being trapped or controlled that adds to the mix and the result...panic and anxiety. Oh what fun. So far I have been able to talk myself out of that "run and get outta here" feeling but it is something I want to nip in the bud for sure.

I listened to the samples of Michaels tapes on Heathers newsletters and immediately felt safe and at ease so I may have to get them. Seems like alot of people have benefitted.

Thanks again Bev.

Cindy

You went to Fisher? Ohhhh... you're talking to a Nazareth grad here. I don't know if I can talk to you anymore... lol, just kidding!

For the uninformed, Fisher and Naz are right down the road from one another and have a longstanding rivalry!

what do you do for a living?

I'm a student, going for my masters in literacy education. I'll be done in August, though, so I'm also in the midst of looking for a teaching job!

how old are you?

24... but I don't consider myself an adult yet.

where did you go to school?

Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, where I majored in Psychology and got my certifications for elementary and special education. I'm actually still going there for my masters... but not living on campus it just isn't the same! I miss my undergrad days.

are you married, dating, single?

Single, and have been for quite a while. Where did all the good guys in this area disappear to??

what do you like to do on your down time?

Read (especially fantasy novels and children's books), sing and listen to almost all types of music, watch movies, hang out with friends, cook and bake (my newest and favorite hobbies), write poetry and short stories, take day trips, shop, and eat!

what makes you tick?

Being with friends and family is what keeps me happy and content. I don't really need much else in life.
