Dagnabbit, I'm sick in bed again today. Did NOT sleep well last night and my fibromyalgia is the worst it's been in ages PLUS I just got another migraine.

This is SO NOT FAIR!!! WHY ME???? What did I do to deserve this? I do everything right, take care of my health, eat right, take my medicine. Why am I being punished like this????

Sorry to vent so much. My usual good attitude will be back in a few minutes, I'm sure. But right now, I'm NOT happy!

Oh Laura,

I can relate……….except that it hasn't been my IBS that's been acting up. Been down, really down now for a couple of weeks…that's why I haven't posted. Couldn't figure out what it was. Acted like either a electrolyte imbalance or food allergy (OMG, could I possibly allergic to rice?). Had the weirdest symptoms—dizzy, lightheaded, lump in throat, palpitations, plus the aches and pains like fibro---boy are those nasty things. Finally caved in and got blood work and doc's appointments. Turned out my thyroid (I'm a hypothyroid) was way, way out of whack. The numbers were astounding and ordered to rest (like I couldn't do anything but) and go on increased meds………then saw the second doc…the one that is the thyroid expert and sure enuf, I had a viral attack of thyroiditis……..nasty stuff and may take 2 months or more to get over. I'm slowly, ever so slowly, on the mend now and a few symptoms have gone away. Not the fibro ones though…………….my legs from the knees down and arms from the elbows down ache so bad I can hardly stand it. If this is firbro (which can go along with thyroid disease) MAN do I feel so sorry for you and Jen and Linz. I know why you have to hit the bed until you're over with it. Meantime, are reading a trashy novel??? LOL. I'm not exactly the novel type but do like humor. If you do too, I highly recommend "The Sweet Potato Queens' Book of Love" (her first book) and God Save the Sweet Potato Queens (second book) by Jill Conner Browne. BTW, you have to be over 45 to even begin to appreciate them. I read them while on a trip and soooooo sick with IBS, before being diagnosed and getting on Heather's diet. I was laughing so hard on the airplane the attendant came over and wanted to know what I was reading. Anyway, just a suggestion……………BTW, don't even look at her 3rd book, the "Big Ass cookbook…"……….you'll have an IBS attack from just reading the recipes.
Hope you're over your attack soon. You're right! It's NOT fair, and you DON'T deserve this, but NO you're not being punished. It's just life and sometimes it's just sucky.

So sorry you feel so yucky LauraSue! Nope it is not fair that the best people end up so sick! It's just the worst to feel like you're doing everything you can and it's not enough--your body still betrays you Still, you're allowed to be mad every now and then so go ahead and VENT. I hear ya! Rest up and have a sweet potato for me

That's the spirit...........we all know you'll feel better tomorrow.......way to go . In the mean time, be gentle with yourself.

Fannie Flagg? Nope, but I just put her books on my wish list at Amazon!!! Thanks for the mention. I love humor, especially southern humor.....but to think of it, northern too... love Garrison Keillor.....think I'll go listen right now. I can't get PBS radio but can listen to his archived shows on line.

Laura and Kandee, you poor girls! I don't blame either if you for being miserable at the moment... I'd be venting a LOT of I felt like either of you. I hope you both start feeling better soon!

You both need a hug...

Those would have to be some pretty long arms, Kandee. You'd look pretty funny that way. But I appreciate the thought, lol.
