I did it! I successfully baked and didn't blow up my kitchen! I made Heather's Chocolate Applesauce bread and let me just say, it is heaven! I'm so excited to have a nice bread that I can eat, and now that I've built up some confidence I can't wait to try the other breads. Just wanted to share my good news! And thank everyone who answered my cooking questions for me!

I'll admit I was skeptical, but I can't get over how great the ones I've tried have tasted! I'm so excited becaue now I can eat without worrying (or flat out knowing I'm going to cause an attack) and still enjoy what I'm eating!

Yay Kelly!! Baking is sooo fun once you get into it, and there's nothing better than Heather's recipes. Congrats on your first success... and here's to many more!

That's peppermint tea we're toasting with, of course!

It's fun, ain't it?!

You go, Girl! Watch out, though, for Heather's RKTs! Ya can't stop eatin' those things! Jen can tell you some of her horror stories.

Hey there!! RKT'S are rice krispy treats! Those are in the recipe index! Bev and JenX (there are a few Jens on the boards) love these!! Only problem is they're both trying to stay away from sugar! Poor girls...actually they have inspired me to do the same. Well I'm going to cut back anyway!!!! So look for those on the recipe board under desserts!!! I've made them a few times!! Really yummy. Bev loves hers with cocoa added to it!! Like baking cocoa. YUMMY!!!

And good job on the baking. I love the chocolate applesauce bread!!! One of my favs!!!

Heather's incredible Rice Krispy Treats. She puts cocoa in them. OMG! Heather's Rice Krispy Treats

"Certain people" here are addicted to them, and some of them (who shall remain nameless) just can't control themselves (they're WEAK) and just can't stop eating them.

P.S. for Jen: Don't worry, I won't tell anyone who it is.

Oh dear, so that's what the RKTs are! Don't know if I even want to try these, I have a pretty hard time getting addicted to sweets! That Soy mocha dream is killing me! It's so hard to only eat one scoop! And to think, just a few weeks ago I was eating only rice and bread and nothing else.

Kelly, if you can resist the mocha fudge, you can resist the RKTs. I couldn't. I had a hard time with both. When we ran out of the mocha fudge (yes, I had THREE -- count 'em -- THREE cartons in the freezer, and they're all gone), I didn't buy more.

As for the RKTs, I had hubby put them all down the garbage disposal. With each grinding, chills ran up and down my back. It was tough-going, I have to admit. I had to go into the bedroom, close the door, and turn up the TV.

Life just doesn't get any tougher, does it?
