Here's something I don't think we've discussed recently... what are your top three favorite songs? Maybe I can learn about some music I've never heard of!

Mine are:
1. A Summer Wind, A Cotton Dress- Richard Shindell
2. Hold On- Mary Beth Maziarz
3. Shadowboxer- Fiona Apple

That's for right now though... they change all the time!

OMG, you're a Richard Shindell fan?? Most people haven't even heard of him... I love Richard! I've seen him once before, and I'm going to see him again when he comes to town in a couple of weeks! I actually only have one of his albums (Somewhere Near Paterson) so I don't know the song you mentioned... I've been meaning to get his others but haven't gotten around to it. He's such a great guitarist and songwriter. So do you like Dar Williams too? I love Dar!

Okay, back to the question at hand. I have very diverse tastes, and my favorites are constantly changing, so don't laugh.

1. Travelin' Soldier- Dixie Chicks
2. Clocks- Coldplay
3. Closer To Fine- Indigo Girls

Yep, my husband and I are both huge Dar fans. That's how we heard of Richard... when they were touring as "Cry Cry Cry" with Lucy Kaplansky. You should find that song... it's awesome. And I like all three of the songs you mentioned so I won't make fun of you! The Dixie Chicks are a little country for me occasionally... but I'm a total Indigo Girls fan.

Did you see the musical? How was it? That's one of my all-time favorite books!

I haven't seen it yet, being a broke college student, but I have the soundtrack. The soundtrack is fabulous! One of my roommates went to see the show for her birthday, and she loved it. Yay for theatre!

I go to Drexel, I'm in my third year out of five. The engineering program I'm in is five years since we do co-op, so I get to work for six months, then take classes for six months. It's nice so I can make money to pay for school, but classes are intense since we fit in six months what most schools do in nine

What's your brother's major?

Wow! Your picture just popped in! Good to see ya.

Sounds like a rigorous program you're in.... My bro started as criminal justice, but switched to sociology. He's right now looking into the GRE so he can go to get his Masters. (I don't know if I would have had the stamina to go from undergrad to grad school right away, but his gf is going to Med school in the Fall, so I guess he wants to keep pace! ) He's going to be a psychologist and work with troubled teens. He'll be great at it! He makes his big sis proud.

Lol, I have Cry Cry Cry playing on my CD player right now. That's where I first heard Richard too.

It's taken all morning to noodle this one, but I'm going to have to go with these Top 3 all time favorites of mine:

Ants Marching, Dave Matthews
The Chain, Fleetwood Mac
Bent, Matchbox 20

For different reasons, each one puts me in a postive frame of mind or at least in my happy place for the duration of the song....

I love music! The top two are long-standing faves. The third is on a rotating basis.

Top 3 are:

These are the Days - Van Morrison (going to be my wedding dance song)
#41- DMB (I'm just a huge Dave Matthews fan. I love everything he/they do)
Love you out loud - Rascal Flatts (this is my rotating fave song, it changes daily, weekly, with my moods, etc).
