My husband has been doing sit-ups (crunches) lately on a regular basis to help his lower back (strengthen the muscles and help hold his back in place) as suggested by our chiropractor. So, I decided to do them with him this weekend and I can sure feel it today. I am soooo sore. Anyone else here do sit-ups on a regular basis? Does it help with anything as far as IBS? etc?

I stay as far away from situps as I can! But I'm laaaaaazzzzzzy!

I hate them and crunches, but I really should do them more since I have a crappy lower back. Besides, it'll hold in the jiggly bits, or so they say!

So, really, what it boils down to is that I have nothing meaningful to contribute to this thread but felt like chatting with ya, Nugget!

Thanks for posting anyway. I always enjoy chatting with you Jen Tummy muscles feeling a bit better today. Hubby says keep doing them and it will eventually quit hurting. Easy for him to say....he's already on his way to a six pack and doesn't have to worry about a flabby tummy. But I'm glad for his moral support.

Hey there,

I've had 2 surgeries on my back, and sit-up help with core strenth. You need to have strong abs and back!

Nugget, you will soon have abs of steel I'm sure. I wish I was that good. I tried to do a tummy muscle yoga pose today and couldn't even last a second!

Thank you....I didn't do any last night....I need to keep up with it in order to have those abs of steel you talk about. I've tried to do some of those yoga things, too and talk back to the tape saying "yeah right! You want me to do what?!"
