why nobody is mentioning it? I'm letting mine grow a little bit. It's still not going to be longer than my neck line, but more body in back and am letting it grow over my ears so that I can tuck it behind them. When I let it grow like this it gets wavier and I like it that way. But, nobody has said anything about it....nobody here at work, hubby, mother-in-law....nobody. I mentioned it to my mom and she was kind enough to say that she liked it but just thought maybe I was in-between haircuts. I think it looks nice, but with nobody saying anything about it...it makes me wonder. Ya know? I've had it real short for about 10 years and am always nervous about trying something new.

That stinks, doesn't it?

The last time I cut my hair (7 inches!) and colored it (from red to brown!), no one said a thing. I was thinking..."there's no way you people haven't noticed!!!"

Makes you feel like you've made a mistake and no one wants to tell you, doesn't it!?

Oh well. I'm sure it looks nice, Nugget! Just always remember: PEOPLE ARE STRANGE!

Thanks Jen.....I liked your little graphic. It does make me feel like I made a mistake, but nothing a haircut won't cure. My husband is growing his mustache again....he has always had a mustache, but he is letting the ends grow long again. I think he looks much more handsome when it is trimmed and have told him, but he's lettin it grow anyway. Maybe I'll let my hair grow til he trims his mustache.

Hey, How was your birthday....didn't you have one on the 3rd?

I KNOW the feeling...I went from short (almost shaved hair w/tail) in 1987-1990 to letting it grow out... to just past the shoulders. It was long enough to perm and I got a few comments then. Then in 1993 I cut it back to shoulder length nobody noticed.... (or they did and just did not like it, nor did I) so they did not say anything. When I finally started to grow my bangs out (I hated that stage of what the heck do I do with these semi long things) until it got long enough to go behind the ear..... now the only people that comment are those that don't see me everyday or everyweek.... they say, wow your hair is long. BUT NOBODY notices when I spend over $100 to have it foiled either!! GRUMP!! Well, except hubby...but I think the only reason he notices is because I not home right after work to make his dinner!! LOL

I did have a birthday. It was March 3rd. Thanks for remembering.

It was ok. I got a little depressed early in the day. Don't know what that was about! It wasn't about getting older, either. It was 'cause I couldn't binge and treat myself to bad foods! I was in a gas station and saw the donuts, ice cream, sodas... Not that I wanted all of them! I just wanted something fun and naughty!

Ah, well... Whatcha gonna do? I got over it. Then I ate too much pumpkin cheesecake and got a little sick just from the sheer quantity I shoved in my greedy little mouth! Serves me right! GLUTTON!

Nugget, you are such a cutie, I imagine it doesn't matter what you do to your hair, because in everyone's eyes you're just as cute, regardless.

I would not take it personally -- everyone is seeing you as the darling young lady you've always been.

Also, people who see you every day see your hair growing out so gradually that you just look the same to them from day-to-day. I recall a young lady in my last office who let her hair grow out, and it wasn't until it got to be shoulder length that I suddenly took notice and said, "Hey! Your hair got long!" Duh. But to me, she was always the young attractive gal -- maybe because of her terrific personality, I just never really paid much attention to her outward appearance.

Now, Miss Nugget -- when you have your hair the length you want, and the style you want, you realize, of course, you have to post a new picture of yourself, Girlfriend!

Well, speak of the devil......when I just got back from lunch a co-worker came by my desk and said "You growin' your hair out?" I said "A little bit." And then she said, "You're gettin' a duck tail. You remember duck tails?" So there, you have it.......quack, quack.

Hey, pretty lady -- sorry I missed it! And really sorry it was such a bummer. But sorrier of all that you are so hard on yourself. So what if you had a little more cheesecake than you should!? How many times have I had more than one scoop of mocha fudge? Or two Jacks? We're human, you know?

Don't call yourself names. Be gentle with yourself. Otherwise we'll have to send you out in that garden for .... you know ....

Thank you Bev....I appreciate all the kind words. I'm always a little self concious of my appearance. Always have been. It's going to be a while before it's the way I want it...but I will post a new photo. If I make it that far.....it may get cut short again before summer if nobody likes it.
