Can constipation and bloating cause needing to pee all the time....like every hour....even in the middle of the night?

I don't think I have a urinary tract infection because when I've had those in the past I've had burning and pain and such with peeing all the time. My urine is clear and no pain or burning. I've been drinking the same amount of water as always.

I'm not sure how to answer your question. I go pee all the time and my friends tease me about having a peeing problem.

I drink alot of water during the day to keep me from getting C. I get up at least once a night to pee.

I'm not sure, but i've noticed it too... Even though I won't have a bowel movement, i'll still pee. Get's sort of annoying sometimes doesn't it.

I usually get up once or twice in the night, but last night I got up like 4 or five times! My husband even commented on it.

Hi. I know EXACTLY what you're talking about! I'm a frequent vistor to the bathroom even when the IBS isn't acting up, but when I'm particularly bloaty and ouchy, I have to pee hourly (which is ridiculous!!!!!). I thought it was just me, 'cause I hadn't heard anyone else say anything like that, nor have I read it anywhere. I suppose we're so bloaty that the bladder doesn't have too much room to fill up? Lucky us!

Good to know I have company, I guess....

thanks for the support. I used to be more of an IBS-D, but have now become more of an IBS-C and was just wondering about that. Glad to know it's nothing serious.

Could it be all the tea we drink?

Somewhere I read this is a normal symptom of IBS. I often wonder how and why the intestines affect the urinary tract that way, but they do.

I don't worry about it. There are other more pressing things in life. In fact the only time it causes me distress is when I forget to go on a regular basis.....oh my, then watch me run!!!!

I've noticed that I pee a lot when I'm C too! My theory is that our bodies are retaining water in order to soften up the hard stool.

Definitely get this! Even though I'm IBS-d. I heard it was just one of the weird IBS things. If my IBS is bad, I go at leaat once an hour. Drives me nuts!
