I splurge on:
- My hair! I can't help it, without my hair appointments I feel so crappy!
- Good food! I can't handle eating Non brand name foods - it drives me crazy...it just never tastes as good LOL

Things I don't splurge on:
- Vacations: We don't go on any vacations. In fact, we never travel...except to our lake house.
- Brand Names Clothes: I just have so much trouble justifying $100 for a pair of jeans etc.

What about you all?

Hmm... I spend the most money on food, I suppose. My husband and I are strict vegetarians, and the soy meat costs quite a bit. We do our shopping at Central Market, which is a small "gourmet" spin off of HEB. But the produce is awesome and they have Veat.

I'm pretty thrifty with books, I suppose. We buy quite a few of them, but always used on half.com.

Oh, and I almost NEVER buy full priced clothing. I just wait until it's on sale.

I splurge on music CDs. If there is one that I want, I usually go buy it and pay full price. I splurge on my husband....he very rarely buys things for himself....so if there is something I know he wants I will definately try to buy it for Valentines, Birthday, Christmas or Anniversary.

I don't splurge on clothes, movies (always wait for the cheap seats....we hardly ever go, though).

I do splurge on my hair....that is impt to me. And on supplements/health food. Especially for my daughter. I just don't want her eating that garbage that is out there. And purses...I collect purses. It is bad....I must have over 20...license plates, bowling bags, chinese food boxes....

I don't splurge on shoes or clothes. Man, that is what Old Navy, Target and Payless are for!
I don't splurge on books/cd's/movies either. Half.com is GREAT!

When I was working full time, I bought Coach bags. I had over 25 of them, including wallets, mini-purses, key cases, cosmetic cases, cell phone case, coin purses, belts, and shoes. I shopped at the Coach outlet in St. Helena -- I was a regular. It was so bad, the manager of the store would call me and let me know when a new style was in!

What I don't splurge on is clothes. I'll walk around town in beat-up old jeans and sweatshirts. But on my shoulder is one helluva killer purse!

It's a sickness.

Did you ever get to meet Shanna who lived in Austin and went to UT? She's in Spain now for her studies in spanish.

Love Austin. I visit my daughter there who is the National Strategic Analyst for Whole Foods Inc. corporate. Been to Central market and all the rest.........love those places. Best place in the world to live healthy.....not to mention bumping into a few stars. Ever eat at the "Casa?"

I hang at Book People when I have to wait on darling daughter.........then buy from Amazon (smack me)when I get home.

When she was poor (working for the Y) she used to buy clothes from one upscale thrift shop then wear until she tired of them and then sell on consignment at another shop. She's more of a J. Crew gal now.

Guess you could say I splurge on trips to go see her!!!

I splurge on my children. I make sure their needs are met before mine. I'm with you Lana - I don't buy nonbrand food items either.

I don't splurge on clothes, perfume (get headaches and stuffy noses from it), or trips.

We lived in Austin from 1998-2001. We lived off of Anderson Mill Road in Cedar Park. We loved Austin and lots of things we still miss, except for the Fire Ants. We moved back to WI in July and one of the first things I did was role in grass without worrying about those fire ants!!

I too love Central Market and Whole foods.

My husband was given a Coach purse to give to me. I had no idea how much they go for. Can you tell I don't splurg on anything?
