I don't know why my IBS has kicked in full speed - lost a job that could be partly the cause. I also have gerd and tried Achiphex - now I can't calm down my IBS symptoms. Has anyone else tried and have difficulties with Achiphex. And, does anyone know what would help gerd without irritating IBS - either with medicine or herbs, etc.

I don't know, but every time I hear the commercial it sounds like they are saying "ass-effects". That doesn't sound good for IBS. We have enough "effects" as it is.

Thanks for your humor and reply. Thankfully, some of the effects on my ass are wearing off - but I do believe the drug made it much worse for a while. Thanks again as when your are in the midst of a severe attack it can be extremely frustrating and paralyzing.

I tried Prevacid for a while, and let me tell you, my gut DID NOT LIKE IT! I now take Pepcid AC before bed, occasionally in the morning; no problems.
Hahaha... "ass effects."
