Just need to vent here. I'm feeling so awful right now. My back went out this afternoon, not terrible - I can still walk, but its really painful. I took two advil with lunch, now after dinner I'm feeling pretty awful stomach-wise too. I've been in the bathroom for more than an hour this evening with really bad d. I guess its maybe from the advil but I usually do okay with it here and there I only take it a few times a year. Maybe its just from all the tension from the back pain. Spasms in the back triggering spasms in the gut? Whatever the cause, this has been a rough evening...

Well that sucks!! Hopefully a cup of tea and a heat pack will help settle your tum!! Sorry to hear it was your back that started this upset! I know I cannot tolerate Advil at all - I had to take 4 x 1000 mg a day for 4 weeks during some dental work once. Since then, my tum hates it! I stick with Tylonel.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Ginger tea and a little journaling settled me down. Now its just the back - staying home today and trying to recover. argh!

Been there, done that. I have a bad back on top of all this other mess, too. I can usually tolerate advil on a full stomach, but if I take it without enough food it will upset me.

I also have back issues, degenerative disk disease, sciatica, scoliosis, herniated disk, bulging disks - Fun!

And, have been in the same place as you, Hawkeye, since last Saturday, when all I did was bend over while vacuuming.

My back froze and I was home alone, then got scared because I couldn't straighten up at first and then trying to walk was almost intollerable. Knew I needed an ice pack and to make it to the bed and scared. Then, my stomach started, but mine, I think, was from being so scared... That was real fun - couldn't sit, could barely walk and had to "run" to the bathroom!

Supposed to start new P.T. with an orthopedist and new spinal decompression therapy with a chiropractor - maybe the combination of alternative and regular medicine is the key!

Like Toady, I can't take anything but Tylenol either.

Here's hoping that your back has recovered, along with your tummy!

Best Wishes for a Magical 2010! ~ Dorothy
