It means that I was provided false information that I believed because I trusted the source.

The comment I made was not at all about your initial post. It was about my response which included an article from the LA Times, which proved not to be true by another member.

In response to his 'enlightening' me, I wrote what I did, but then also later deleted my initial post so as not to mislead anyone with something that proved not to be true. Apparently the other member deleted his response to me.

I apologize if it turned out in the end to appear that my comments were directed at the information you provided. They definitely were not. I'm so very sorry.

I did jump to the wrong conclusion ... sorry.

That's a major story line in my life ... jumping on the wrong horse too soon.
It always hurts...

I felt so bad when you thought I was talking about your initial post. I don't think you necessarily jumped to conclusions, it was a given conclusion. I deleted what I posted and the person who posted the correction also deleted the correction.

Therefore, what you saw appeared to be a response to what YOU said, not what I was addressing in response to my response on this thread by a third person. I chose not to leave my post there as I did not want to mislead anyone who might read it in the future and actually believe it like I did.

The information had been sent to me by a friend I trust who almost always checks things at snopes.com before sending out to others.

Live and learn! Would you like me to delete my other posts on this thread so readers can actually understand the path of this thread? I'd be happy to do that!
