I made some pumpkin cookies and took them to a family dinner over the weekend I thought they were good and so did my dh and little girl. Well everyone laughed and thought it was chicken and then my sister tired one and I knew she didn't like it late I found the cat eating it and playing with it. My feelings were and still are very hurt. They just don't get that you can't go to town and buy a package of oreos or keebler cookies. She knows I have this and is always talking about eating stuff she knows I like all the time when she calls she says better go were having lasagna or tacos for super. I just needed to vent. To someone who would understand. Thanks...

Pumpkin cookies actually sound delicious to me! -especially with a few raisins. Are you close to your sister? I would hate to think my sister would treat me like that. Don't let her drag you down to her level. She's the one with the problem if she treats you like that. Do good for evil!

I really need to learn to make some cookies that I can eat ... I'm getting tired of banana bread. What is your recipe?

Would you care to share the recipe? Those sound right up my alley. I am sorry she did this to you. People can be really mean sometimes and I don't understand why. All I can say is KARMA.
Hugs,
Julie

Hey Sheila,
these sound really good.
Can you eat zuccinni?
I made some bread this week and OMG even my niece that is really picky ate it.
I am not sure if it is totally IBS safe but I'm sure it could be adapted.
(and the zuccinni is homegrown too....the only thing that actually grew for me this year )

Chris, don't feel bad. We planted a whole bunch of veggies this year and the only thing that grew was squash. Lots and lots and lots of squash. We have our freezer packed full of squash!!!! We are giving it away and eating it at every meal!!!!!!

I hate it when people don't understand. I have that same problem at work. When they cook stuff for people's birthday and I don't eat they are like, "oh well more for us." There is no "I'm sorry, we should have made something that's not 90% cheese and butter!!!!!!!!!!!" That's all they eat!!!

Think of it this way. You are much healthier in the long run than them eating lasagna and tacos. Both are loaded with grease and fat. CHEESE and CHEESE and MORE CHEESE!!!!!

HUGS to you Emmasmom!!! I hope everything gets better for you. Tell them like I tell my loan officers "Bite Me!"

Vent whenever you need to. I'm hear to listen!!!!

Sounds good to me. Want to ship some my way? Remember, you are not the one with the problem. They are. Anyone who would treat a family member that way, especially if they know they have bowel problems, should be force-fed pumpkins cookies until they have uncontrollable diarrhea or constipation.
