I ate lunch at 12noon (applesauce was all I could muster down) Went to Wal-Mart and of course the urgency hit me right before checking out, so I checked out and ran to the BR for a BM. When i got back, I was having severe stabbing like pains, and at about 1:15 I was doubled over and crying like a baby.

The stabbing stopped eventually, but the pain was still there.

I got a little hungry, and I just ate my snack pack of carrots and I'm eating one serving of pretzels now.

I dunno if it's in my head or not, but the pain stopped after I started eating my pretzels.

Isn't that weird? Very strange.

something u must be eating or taking must be causing pain and rushing to the toilet. remember u are stable when ibs doesn't interfer with your daily activitis, isn't that right?

did u stop eating the yogurt or are u getting too much IF? maybe u should puree If or cut it really small, cook it alot?

No you aren't crazy...well maybe just a little
I snack on pretzels to calm my tummy whenever it is feeling bad.
I also have been taking Imodium advanced every morning since that is my bad time of the day.Even if its just bloating ,Imodium Advanced for bloating and gas works great!

I'm most definitely NOT stable! Monday evening I had a small piece of cake that was supposed to be IBS friendly. That is the only thing I can contribute yesterday's episode to.

Sometimes, even when eating safe for a few days, I will get a flare-up even without eating a trigger. I think stress has a greater impact on my system than food!

certain brands of pretzels (the ones that don't have a ton of extra ingredients) are my ultimate safe foods and I keep a big container of them on my desk at work and at home.. and a baggie full in my backpack at school...

basically they are soluble fiber and if it is remotely food related (stress can be a trigger) they can help, and sometimes with stress having too little in the tummy is just as bad so eating a bit of SF can help!

I also am calmed after an attack with pretzels. I always wondered why and then just became grateful that I could eat something after that much pain. I also think that because it is a soluble fiber that makes a huge difference!
