Stressed......mom is back in the hospital

I haven't been visiting much here lately again. Just been busy. Then last night my dad had to take my mom to the ER. As some of you know, she recently had heart surgery to replace a valve. Then she had a complication 2 days after surgery and needed emergency colon surgery to remove a dead portion of her colon. Well she has been doing pretty well until recently. Yesterday she had a sore show up over night that quickly grew and ruptured next to one of her incisions. Plus she's been having trouble with her kidney function levels. Thankfully, they believe the infection from the sore is localized to just under the skin. They put her on antibiotics for that, but decided to admit her to the ICU to get her kidney function under control. So she's back in the hospital. And I'm stressed which is causing flare ups with my IBS-D.

I am so sorry to hear that you have had so many stressful events happen. I know that it is tough to handle, especially when things are out of our control.....maybe meditating can help...try to just get away even if for only ten minutes, quiet your mind and just "be" thinking about nothing ....nothing at all....I know that helps me when i feel overwhelmed,......hopefully that can help if even it is only a little, either way i will include you in my thoughts and meditations today 
I wish you the best of luck, and try and think about the positive...concentrate on everything having a positive outcome, you would be amazed at how powerful our itty bitty thoughts are sometimes

I am so sorry to hear that your mother is back in the hospital. You have had a very stressful few months. I hope that everything is going to be ok. Please keep us posted on how she is doing.

The ICU is the best place for her. Your stomach must be going CRAZY with the stress. Please remember to eat. It's hard when our loved ones are in the hospital, but you gotta take care of you.

Thanks so much Nelly. {{hugs}} Mom is doing better today and out of the ICU. She's still in the hospital but more stable. I work a few blocks from the hospital...so when I went to see her on my lunch, I walked there to help burn off some stress. I walked three blocks to a park across from the hospital, through the park on a nice path, then up 4 flights of stairs to mom's room. I took the same route back to work. It's about 3/4 of a mile or so.

Thanks so much Chris. Mom is doing better today and out of the ICU. She will be in the hospital for a few more days. I'm doing better now that she is out of ICU. Still stressed, but not as bad.

I have reported you to the Administrator. You are trying to scam people with your website. If you truly wanted to help someone, you would tell us your method, without sending us to your website to purchase your books.
I see you deleted your other post, after several people responded negatively. You don't take advantage of people who are hurting.
And furthermore, why are you posting to Nugget's thread, who is concerned about her mom in the hospital?

I've had so much going on in my own life, I feel like a "newbie" and have been MIA.... so, I didn't know you were going through so much. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and for your mom. I know how anxiety just increases when we go through "junk" - it's like a vicious cycle. BUT - it will get better!!
