How did the colonoscopy go on Friday? I hope everything is ok, your prep worked and the doc was able to perform the procedure.

Thanks for asking! It went ok, the prep wasn't as successful as it could have been but the procedure went well. They were testing out a new drug at my hospital where you are completely out for the procedure so that was nice...but unfortunately it lowers BP so I've been a little out of it the last few days. When they let me leave I think it was 90/46 which is the lowest I can ever recall having it. I don't know the results yet, just that the doctor booked me for an ERCP on Wednesday to keep looking, but at least the prep for that one is just fasting!

Thank you everyone for your support

ERCP? Endocsopy? Glad you did alright for the colonoscopy, I was concerned when we didn't hear back from you at first!

Glad that you have that behind you. I hope the next procedure is much easier.
When I had my endoscopy/colonoscopy the drugs they gave me knocked me out completely and they had trouble stablizing my blood pressure enough for me to leave - and I have hypertension - go figure!
Just hoping you get a good report, but an answer to your problems..

I've been through a lot but after surviving 5 blood clots and a slew of other things, they FINALLY figured out what is wrong with me. I have chronic, progressive sarcoidosis. Its a really sucky disease with no cure but the survival rate with my problems is about 85%. I've been getting remicade infusions along with a ton of other drugs, all just trying to slow the disease as much as possible. I've been seeing a shrink regularly to help me deal with it all. Overall, I am just thankful they finally figured it out. Three years of agony and no dx was very trying to say the least. Its been just over a year now since I've known what it is but its still hard to accept.

Other than doctors and tests and medical crap, not too much new. Been trying to repaint the inside of our house but we haven't made too much progress lately.

Michele, I'm sorry to hear that it's something so serious but I'm glad that they figured it out! Not knowing is almost worse isn't it? Sending you tons of hugs and happy thoughts! I hope it's being managed well!
