Well all i can say if when you finally can't take it anymore...you will have the willpower to make it right again. It sounds like you have been able to do it before and right now are just having a hard time sticking to it.

Everyone here can relate to that but when your IBS is only just a minor inconvenience,it's much easier to"cheat". Just be aware that the longer you give in to temptation, the harder you will fall. IBS will come back and likely with a vengeance. So be prepared.
Since I know you aren't ready to go back to the EFI strictly, then may I suggest cushioning anything you chose to eat eat with plenty of SF. When you crave that sweet thing, eat a piece of bread first. When opting for the pizza, munch on a bun first. Also try scrapping off the pizza sauce. That is a kicker for me.
The hypno tapes were a god send for me but I was at the end of my rope. I was totally depressed and unable to leave the house for a week straight. They have really helped me.

May I just add too that I know you are 21 and struggling to keep your job.Well, if living with mom and dad are so bad then perhaps you should focus your efforts into saving your money so you can get a place of your own and not sneak around behind their backs to spend your money on a lip ring.
Something you may soon learn is that we all have to give up some little things in order to get what we really want.

IBS-D since 1999...mostly stable..i do cheat too.Bad me.

I think you really need to try to stick with the EFI diet. Your stomach and bowels will feel better if you are eating safe foods.

It is difficult for many of us to avoid unsafe foods. If you could try the EFI diet without cheating and see that you feel better it may be easier to avoid the foods you shouldn't eat.

You do have a lot of family and work stress in your life which doesn't help with IBS. That stress seems to be unavoidable right now which is why you should do what you can for your IBS by eating healthy.

Are there any other stores or other places around your area that you could possibly get a job where you don't have to deal with the stress and food temptations?

Try to make one positive change at a time to make your life better. Try not to look at everything that needs changing at once because it can be very overwhelming.
