Hi everyone, im new to the board and also to IBS. My problems are mainly in the morning. Anyone else get this? I rarely have symptoms after 7pm but mornings are sooo bad- mainly discomfort/nausea/bloating. Im definatley not pregnant either as i am a bloke!

Also, i have very little money but want to try probiotics, what would people recommend. I am torn between VSL3 and Align would greatly appreciate any advice!

Align has helped me tremendously. Syl posted some helpful info here on these:

From what I've seen, Align seems to be more helpful for D than for C. So that might help in your decision regarding what to try first.

Thanks, I suffer from neither D nor C. My symptoms are predominatley nausea and cramps/bloating. I am hoping that one of these can help reduce the latter.

If your neither d or c then that doesn't really fit in with IBS. Creiteria for a IBS diagnosis are at http://www.helpforibs.com/footer/rome_guidelines.asp. Though there are some good suggestion on this site for dealing with gas. Have you seen a GI doc yet about your problems? Without a change in bowel movements I'd want more investigation before IBS is diagnosed.
