I'd finally made it to the 3rd level, but by then I'd started to yell nasty things at the Santa, so I shut it off! LOL Didn't want to get thrown on the naughty list at the last second!

I gave up at the first level and turned it over to my 7 year old. He didn't like the game either, but I am determined to get past the first level!

Louise - the instructions should come up on the page before you click start. Basically, you use your arrow keys to move, and the spacebar to jump. You have to go and collect all the packages before time runs out & without getting killed by penguins. Then, if you can do that, you have to go to the ladder to move up to the next level.
Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any more questions! 
This game reminds me of the old Super Mario Bros from Nintendo.
