Deep breathing and counting help to change your thoughts when an attack is oncoming.Sometimes for me its only twenty but other times i've counted to 150 before the panic subsided.
I have three kids, 12 10 and 5 (36 if you count my husband)
Somedays they drive me crazy! I haven't always been there for them during attack season but I've explained things to them and they know I have tummy issues. They responded by saying"Just use the bathroom mom". When I'm having a good tummy day we try to cram our shopping and beach trips into those days.
It's hard not to work yourself up into a frenzy in about 3.2 seconds.Still working on it.
I've had a good week and this morning I had to take my hubby to my brothers at 6am so he could take him to the airport. He is gone for 9 days and i'm all alone with my three kids.HELP! Anyway I woke up with a tummy ache and barely made it to my bros house 20 min away! Was fine after.I guess the pressure was too much!

Anyway if any of you find a way to magically make it disappear, let me know!

The tapping method does work. I had a counselor show me a couple of years ago. I use it when I'm having panic attacks and it really does seem to help. Sometimes I have to run through the cycle of taps several times, but it does help.
